Shiney is the boss around here and makes sure everyone is feeling welcome, thread number 18 sure says a lot!

All welcome, its not just diet talk either, mucho chatting and gossip too

FB, it was warm and sunny all afternoon here as well, not so much this morning.

Chickandaduck, NOOOO! Don't do it! There is a plum and apple crumble calling to me too, it is homemade and healthy-ish (wholemeal flour, low fat marg and oats goddamit), but I know it is calorific, the fruit was a bit tart so I got a leetle over excited with the sugar

Right tomorrow I am going to kick ass, I am going to get work sorted, insurance company sorted (still living in a bloody bombsite) and ring and shout at someone at Homeserve.
I cannot just expect these things to resolve themselves and get down when they don't.

I posted that so I had to do it.

I live in the country, we have a look every morning to see how far the slugs have travelled on our hall carpet. The beetles and woodlice go quiet when you go into the donstairs loo and I had to get a spider out of DD's slipper this morning. And that is just inside. Yesterday we put the cows back in which had excaped from the barn not sure how as the gates were still shut, the badgers are using part of our garden as their bog and the foxes are pretty active aswell. The barn owl thank god has moved on, the birds are going as they are not hanging about so much when I put the washing out and the frogs are getting bigger and will be getting a huge surprise (hopefully) when their pond goes but they will enjoy the swimming pond we are putting in at the end of the garden.

Well, ChickandDuck, the advice from Rosemary Conley is to douse it with washing up liquid. But you could freeze it.

And it is lovely and sunny here 3 loads of washing have been dried today and I think the rest of the week is looking good.

My boys would love to live at your house Fivegomad, as would my DH tbh. They are into squirmy creep crawlies and badgers. Took me 1/2hour to do a 10min walk with DS2 last week as we had to stop and inspect every slug

Lovely weather today also on the South Coast. Lizzy, sounds like you have had a stressy time.

FiveGoMad, I knew someone who had a barn owl, fascinating apparently as in they regurgitate whole skeletons.

They do, we found one once when I was younger, had a mouse skeleton.

We have a pond, fivegomad, fenced it off.

Fivegomad... I want your house, I'll swap it for a victoria sponge

ChickandDuck, is talk of regurgitating mice skeletons putting your off sponge?

this is my house here not a go picture and we are doing a lot of work in the garden and converting a coach house this winter. The pond will be fenced off as well with a locked gate.

It's making me think... I should probably eat all that cake else the mice will get it?

Fivegomad... does this mean we're in negociation? (spelling!!) I can throw in some thick double cream

Thank you. It is cold and draughty expensive to heat, there is always something that needs doing but we love it.

I am in the heart of the Peak Distict and would be very reluctantly dragged away, but you might be on my holiday list!!

I messed up DS's PE kit and what was supposed to be a 2hr jaunt to sort it, took nearly all day because the busses were delayed due to a half marathon somewhere. I don't really like to grumble but the DC's won't settle and I just want to relax for an hour before I collapse.

Have been angellically virtuous with food and did a 3/4 hr walk so am good for 3 lots of exercise so far.

Yep but what we got in was of 4 legged big and hairy not mouse but mouse type kinda thing beginning with R that had to be perswaded to leave with a broom and shoe horn Now there is the utility to disenfect. I feel i earnt my food porn tea tonight.
