Yeah, you know, thinking about it, I really am not that bothered about DD starting school. It's more that I am a bit of a perfectionist in life, so I have that kind of anxiety one often gets before getting ready for a long looked forward to night out - like you psych yourself up so much you actually start to feel miserable about going out....no? Just me then

There was an exciting bite at the nanny share...actually it was too perfect for words, but the lady then mentioned she was also considering nursery and was seeing one at the end of this week and would let me know then whether she felt the nanny or nursery option was better for her. She needs childcare pretty immediately so I guess if nursery looks good she'll go that route .

They practically live on the next street so it would be amazing if it worked out.

Am collecting nanny cv's but just can't face interviewing on my own. Want the other family in the mix really. Last time me and the other mum did it together - it was better. I know DH could join in but really, he needs to get the DC's out of the way for me.

BackofBus - you haven't answered my question about being married to a dragon!

Do you have any interesting hobbies with which you abuse amuse yourself while DH is working and your children are at boarding school?

Sycamoretreeisvile · 13/09/2009 11:49

Facelikea...face like Ikea.

Thankyou Mits. You are solovely.

Syc, my dd2 has just started school. She is a July baby. It is actually v liberating, much as I love her,to have her at school.
She has insisted on going on the bus with her brothers from the second day and seems to be enjoying it although she is more than a little disgusted that allthey do is play, and that she hasn't learned anything yet.
Sort one thing at a time in your head, switch the others off. Maybe installa smallcircuit board.

FlamingoBingo · 13/09/2009 11:51

Oh Face Don't say that! Shiney is very lovely indeed.

I usually amuse myself in the garden, while the gardener is trimming my bushes, on warm days of course

Sycamoretreeisvile · 13/09/2009 11:55

Such great advice ABW, thank you.

Nanny is the most pressing issue. Then the share. Then the work. Will tackle in that order.
