Have you ever heard of the "As If" technique? It's where you act as if you are the person you want to be and change your mood or mindset by adopting the persona of someone you think is dealing well with the situation.
I know you are trying to get through the days until you can access some proper RL support, so it's a good tide-over.
I am qualified as a psychotherapist btw, and it's a technique I've used with clients in crisis on a short-term basis with really good results.
I first realised it might be a good idea as a teenager when i read loads of biographies about Marilyn Monroe. She was the kind of person who coped well when she was acting and focussing outside herself, but seemed to actually get a lot worse when she was being very introspective.
The basic tenet of the approach is what athletes and performers use: you picture what you hope to be, and act "as if".
I think this thread is agood one to do it on, because it is so frivolous and light-hearted. If you try and get involved in the jokes etc, but maybe have a codeword or something to indicate if you need to dig a bit deeper, then maybe we can help on facebook or a MH thread? But you could keep here as a space to keep your mind off things?
I just hope that if you can kind of get swept up in a bit of silliness here, it might help you pass the hours without feeling you have to drink, or just spend less time feeling awful. What do you think?
