For anyone who wants a boost to their general health. The suggested goals are:

EAT 10 PORTIONS OF FRUIT AND VEGETABLES EVERY DAY - if you don't usually eat much fruit and veg I would build up gradually or you could upset your digestion.

DO (AT LEAST) 10 MINUTES OF EXERCISE EVERY DAY - can be yoga, stretching or something more energetic. The plan is that the idea of doing 10 minutes is not too daunting, and having started you may well find you want to do more.

There are no restrictions on what you eat so long as you get your 10 fruit and veg as well. The focus is not on weight loss but on improving our energy levels and hopefully our general mood and well-being. Sign up below and post here to tell us how you're getting on and how you are feeling.

Basic guidance on what constitutes a portion of fruit and veg here and you can download more detailed information by following the link at the very bottom of the page

Guadalupe · 29/04/2009 17:29

TooTicky · 29/04/2009 17:30

I did actually used to be quite competent. Do you remember?

Guadalupe · 29/04/2009 17:30

TooTicky · 29/04/2009 17:31

Ah,the ones who eat egg don't eat tomato. Shall I make it inti a logic puzzle and forget all about actually feeding themor doing the washing up?

Now, if i send them over, willyou feed them/

TooTicky · 29/04/2009 17:35

Might go with the minestrone. One pan stuff is good.

TooTicky · 29/04/2009 17:38

Oh ffs. Both boys turned noses up at minestrone.

Guadalupe · 29/04/2009 17:41

Tough luck!

I can't be pandering with who likes what and all these different requests. I don't mind if they actually don't like something, but if they just don't fancy it well, hard cheese.

DD always turns her nose up at minestrone but she eats it anyway.

Guadalupe · 29/04/2009 17:42

Tell them it's soup, or bread and soup.

TooTicky · 29/04/2009 17:44

I amjust too tired.
Will end upbeing 4 different dinners cooked toorder I think.

ahundredtimes · 29/04/2009 17:47

That won't make you any less tired.

Egg-eaters: they are having omlette with onions (spinach if also an egg eater) with beans.

Non-eggers: bowl of pasta with beans on top.

Stewed rhubarb for all.

AND NO COMPLAINING.

Guadalupe · 29/04/2009 17:51

Four different dinners?

You are asking for trouble if you agree and relent to this nonsense. I only know one person who used to make different dinners for all her four children all the time and they are ruffians and crims now and she is prematurely grey.

Make the soup, Toot. And then have some yourself.

Boco · 29/04/2009 17:52

Mine don't like eggs and I choose not to believe them and try to trick them into liking quiche. They're untrickable though. They do really dramatic retching of quiche.

Guadalupe · 29/04/2009 17:53

yes, but quiche can be filthy

Boco · 29/04/2009 17:54

LOL Guad, you sound all starched aprons today. I do agree with you though.

Boco · 29/04/2009 17:55

Shop bought quiche can be filthy , with too much cheese and egg - it gives me a frontal lobe headache, but good home made quiche with lots of vegetables and fresh herbs is good. Broccoli and dolcelatte my favourite.

SuperBunny · 29/04/2009 17:56

lol @ molly

TooT - fritatat - fried spuds, eggs

or pasta & passata

if they eat beans on toast, why not give it to them again? It won't hurt
