For anyone who wants a boost to their general health. The suggested goals are:

EAT 10 PORTIONS OF FRUIT AND VEGETABLES EVERY DAY - if you don't usually eat much fruit and veg I would build up gradually or you could upset your digestion.

DO (AT LEAST) 10 MINUTES OF EXERCISE EVERY DAY - can be yoga, stretching or something more energetic. The plan is that the idea of doing 10 minutes is not too daunting, and having started you may well find you want to do more.

There are no restrictions on what you eat so long as you get your 10 fruit and veg as well. The focus is not on weight loss but on improving our energy levels and hopefully our general mood and well-being. Sign up below and post here to tell us how you're getting on and how you are feeling.

Basic guidance on what constitutes a portion of fruit and veg here and you can download more detailed information by following the link at the very bottom of the page

pinkspottywellies · 28/04/2009 20:06

Molly, have you got peanut butter? Try that on your celery. MMMMMmmmmm

Glad FIL sounds ok Franny. Dunno what I'd do about trampoline. Prob similar to pointy

FrannyandZooey · 28/04/2009 20:08

FrannyandZooey · 28/04/2009 20:08

yes pink he really did
he kept calling me Theresa but other than that he seemed chipper, all things considered

Good news about FIL. Why Theresa? Please don't say it's an ex of dp's

Am pmsl at Nicky's smuttyness

FrannyandZooey · 28/04/2009 20:53

LOL i have no idea about Theresa
just asked dp - they used to live next door to a Theresa who was tall with long blonde hair
she used to babysit for dp when he was little ROFL
it also almost rhymes with my name

OP posts:
FrannyandZooey · 28/04/2009 20:54

i mean it rhymes with my 'nickname', obviously franny is my REAL name

OP posts:
pinkspottywellies · 28/04/2009 21:02

Well rescued Franny. You know we get upset when you start saying strange things about Franny not being your name

pinkspottywellies · 28/04/2009 21:22

Can I just ask a co-sleeping question cause I know you lot would answer anyway and it'll save me starting a thread!

DS doesn't like going back in his moses basket after he wakes up at 5ish. Fine the rest of the night and fine in bed next to me at that time, just won't go back in his basket. I can put him on the outside of the bed and just cover him with his usual blanket but if he's due to feed on the other side I need to lie him in the middle of the bed. But he shouldn't be under our duvet should he? So what can I do? I (selfishly) don't want to have bits sticking out and get cold myself! The last couple of mornings I just have his legs under and leave him top half a bit uncovered and hope for the best but I thought I'd ask the experts.

Thanks

TooTicky · 28/04/2009 21:31

Do you know Franny, I spent a moment desperately trying to rhyme Theresa with Franny

Pink, I was a little lax with the duvet thing...obviously don't completely cover him, but if you have no heating on, a window open if it is hot (I nearly always have it open!) and not too thick a duvet,I think it is okay. Use your judgement and your instincts. you will know if he is getting too hot. he can always sleep in just a nappy.

Thanks TooT! As I say it's only for an hour or 2 in the early hours and I do make sure his head's not buried in the pillow and have the duvet half off. I think it's quite a thin duvet anyway - 4.5 tog? I think he just lies awake but doesn't want to be on his own! Little poppet!

TooTicky · 28/04/2009 21:50

Aw,who does want to be alone in the early hours? It is a chilly time. Bless him

pointydog · 28/04/2009 22:16

quite right to tell him he can't go on trampoline until you say so.

pointydog · 28/04/2009 22:18

You must stay on this Earth to Repent, little boy, no longer to Jump Towards the Stars

TooTicky · 28/04/2009 22:18

Pointy, please tell us about yourself in 12 words...

FrannyandZooey · 28/04/2009 22:19

yes duvet ok IMO if not over his head
something in 3 in a bed about them regulating their temp differently if next to you? anyway completely just my opinion and against all guidelines probably
can you not get the other breast over to him just by leaning over a bit more? maybe he is a bit little yet
or just feed him in middle of bed then roll him over top of your body in your arms
or will that wake him up?

OP posts:
FrannyandZooey · 28/04/2009 22:20

oh no pointy i think i'll have to let him jump to the stars now you've said that!

i like the way everyone else politely ignored fact i have given ds1 a shit punishment

OP posts:
TooTicky · 28/04/2009 22:21

Actually, can you lie him on your chest to feed him? Is he still small enough?

FrannyandZooey · 28/04/2009 22:21

they sleep less deeply for last 2 cycles pink apparently
more rem sleep etc

OP posts:
TooTicky · 28/04/2009 22:22

A shit punishment? I missed that bit.
Besides, I thought we weren't allowed to talk poo any more.

FrannyandZooey · 28/04/2009 22:22

OR get two duvets for you and Mr Pink and ds goes in the middle
that's what we do
oh the techniques i have come up with to get a half decent night's sleep

OP posts:
pointydog · 28/04/2009 22:22

Is there a punishment ethos on this thread? Thought I'd ask since we've cleared up nuts.

FrannyandZooey · 28/04/2009 22:24

well me and avi purport to be fans of unconditional parenting
my admiration is more theoretical these days

OP posts:
TooTicky · 28/04/2009 22:25

Pointy, I am still waiting for your 12 words...
I have met most of these nutters veggers but haven't quite got the shape of you yet otherwise I'd do it myuself.
I did try,but came up with little more than pointy and doggy.
