For anyone who wants a boost to their general health. The suggested goals are:

EAT 10 PORTIONS OF FRUIT AND VEGETABLES EVERY DAY - if you don't usually eat much fruit and veg I would build up gradually or you could upset your digestion.

DO (AT LEAST) 10 MINUTES OF EXERCISE EVERY DAY - can be yoga, stretching or something more energetic. The plan is that the idea of doing 10 minutes is not too daunting, and having started you may well find you want to do more.

There are no restrictions on what you eat so long as you get your 10 fruit and veg as well. The focus is not on weight loss but on improving our energy levels and hopefully our general mood and well-being. Sign up below and post here to tell us how you're getting on and how you are feeling.

Basic guidance on what constitutes a portion of fruit and veg here and you can download more detailed information by following the link at the very bottom of the page

good scan news for guada

ILikeToMoveItMoveIt · 17/04/2009 20:34

lol @ boaked quietly.

I think it's harder to lose a filofax personal organiser as they are bigger and less likely to slip out of your bag. Just keep the horsey impressions to a minimum and you'll be ok

pointydog · 17/04/2009 20:40

do you get a free pair of shoulder pads with a filofax these days? I hear they are coming bakc into fashion

ILikeToMoveItMoveIt · 17/04/2009 20:54

lol, yes you do! You also get a mobile phone the size of a brick, bright red lipstick and a can of super hold hairspray.

FrannyandZooey · 17/04/2009 20:56

dp is walking around coughing into his hand and saying "Thatcherite"

lol

I have an filofax organiser but I rarely use it - only as an address book.

SuperBunny · 17/04/2009 21:00

You may also have to get your hair cut into a mullet.

FrayedKnot · 17/04/2009 21:25

I thought you said swishy

Guadalupe · 17/04/2009 21:40

Thanks all - it was a relief I must say. I kept jerking up and saying what's that about loads of black areas but she said 'those are bloody vessels, you need those', not a little dryly.

Franny - she said they looked like perfectly good 'juicy' ovaries. and that there were dominant follicules .

FK - I am lucky it will be decorated I know. It is quite overwhelming sometimes still. There is SO much to do and organise and when I was there this evening the road seemed very loud and the crossing was beeping and next door's tv was blaring and the titchy garden seemed even titchier and so on and I wondered if we have done the right thing!

New room looked a bit cold too. It is this colour here Think maybe I should have chosen a shade darker.

Guadalupe · 17/04/2009 21:40

blood vessels, she didn't curse.

pointydog · 17/04/2009 21:53

juicy ovaries - maybe you could stick that on your 10/10 list?

FrannyandZooey · 17/04/2009 21:55

oh juicy - excellent!

Guadalupe · 17/04/2009 22:11

Oh no, it is a vile image don't you think?

Pointy - no-one has called me guada before, I quite like it. Feels like a bit of a lofty flick at the end rather than a duh.

pinkspottywellies · 17/04/2009 22:12

house guad (isn't the mother ship powder blue?) Nice ovaries btw

filofax franny (cause I want to be that organised) Lol at pink goat!

Nice dd lr - selling babies

Impressed with hospital set up boco!

I'm going out tomorrow [terror] I now have something to wear borrowed from my friend. well a top. So I have to spend the day tomorrow choosing jeans and shoes. Going to get dh to try ds with a bottle again tonight :-S

Guadalupe · 17/04/2009 22:15

The mothership was turquoise, Pink, quite a different shade altogether.

Where are you going?

pointydog · 17/04/2009 22:26

you do all realise, it si a quite exhausting style of posting on these fruit threads. There is a certain expectation, it seems, to comment on everyone's previous posts, as if everyone was in teh same room at the same time.

I wonder if you all need filofaxes to keep notes

Guadalupe · 17/04/2009 22:34

There is no expectation, pointy, but sometimes it does get a bit listy if you want to reply to more than one person. I read the thread and have a reply in my head to a few posts but often forget and only mention one or two things.

Hard to get round if you come on and several people have 'said' something to you.

pinkspottywellies · 17/04/2009 22:34

Ah. Turquoise.

It's my friend's 30th. She pointedly pointed out that lots of her friends with children were letting her down and not going out. Not I of course. I've had to buy bottles and express milk (which as yet ds isn't impressed with!) and find out what people wear when they go 'out' nowadays. I really don't want to go out!! [misery guts] But I'm sure I'll enjoy it when I get there [forced smile]

Yes pointy. We do!

Guadalupe · 17/04/2009 22:37

you could just come on and list and not say anything else I suppose, or just say what you want and not respond to what's been said, or you could not read the thread and respond only to the last post, which would mean timing your post as the last one might be boring

actually that does sound really exhausting I have never really thought about.

pointydog · 17/04/2009 22:40

generally speaking, I tend to respond to the last post but I am aware that mgith seem a bit off hand at times

Guadalupe · 17/04/2009 22:52

I hadn't noticed. Don't give it too much thought, you'll wear yourself out.

FrannyandZooey · 17/04/2009 22:53

it could count as your 10 mins exercise
