For anyone who wants a boost to their general health. The suggested goals are:

EAT 10 PORTIONS OF FRUIT AND VEGETABLES EVERY DAY - if you don't usually eat much fruit and veg I would build up gradually or you could upset your digestion.

DO (AT LEAST) 10 MINUTES OF EXERCISE EVERY DAY - can be yoga, stretching or something more energetic. The plan is that the idea of doing 10 minutes is not too daunting, and having started you may well find you want to do more.

There are no restrictions on what you eat so long as you get your 10 fruit and veg as well. The focus is not on weight loss but on improving our energy levels and hopefully our general mood and well-being. Sign up below and post here to tell us how you're getting on and how you are feeling.

Basic guidance on what constitutes a portion of fruit and veg here and you can download more detailed information by following the link at the very bottom of the page

Mits I'm sure he's fine...

Tiger

ILikeToMoveItMoveIt · 16/04/2009 17:00

Mits, are you worried, pissed off or both?

Fab news Tiger

SB, I'm trying to think of how to explain what a shower is in the context Franny used it. Um, um .... I'll get back to you.

pointydog · 16/04/2009 17:09

'you shower' as in 'you silly group of peoople'

like a motley crew

ahundredtimes · 16/04/2009 17:10

Well I found dd trainers yesterday for £1.50 in JJB. How about that then? We were thrilled, we were so thrilled we bought them even though they are a size too big.

Have no thoughts on prunes I am finding.

MW - has he got a mobile? Do you know where he is? Sorry, I know you have referred to problems with your ds a lot in the past, but I'm not sure what his issues or dx if he has one is, though you might not have actually said what it is? Is he likely to do anything dangerous? 10.00 until now seems a long time to me, isn't he about 10 y-o? I think you should ring around likely places he might be, it seems a long time with no contact, no?

Ate good salad for lunch and lots of fruit.

Have delicious pears in the house. They beat any kind of prune hands down imo. And good reading Pointy.

womblingalong · 16/04/2009 17:11

Brilliant News TF, and another DD too, how lovely. I though of you a lot yesterday.

ahundredtimes · 16/04/2009 17:14

Oh god, yes, also TF good news. LR will be thinking of you, hope you can get the appointment earlier rather than later - am sure all will be well, but the waiting is horrid.

ahundredtimes · 16/04/2009 17:14

How is dd Wombling? I've been thinking about her.

pointydog · 16/04/2009 17:15

yes, I am enjoying it, 100. All that sex.

Don;t know why I'm wasting my time on here. I really shouldn't.

ahundredtimes · 16/04/2009 17:16

No you shouldn't. You've got books to read, books with sex.

I have cut down well. Is more difficult when just me and the window and the staring and the sighing and the making things up and the children at school though.

pointydog · 16/04/2009 17:21

I'm on hol, that's my problem

womblingalong · 16/04/2009 17:24

Hi Hundred,

I think DD is settling down a bit now. We were walking home from school with some of the boys from her class, and one of the mums asked us over fro a play and a coffee. This seemed to work well, as it was spontaneous, do DD couldn't get anxious.

They had a great time too, The two lads from her class started to show off and compete in front of her: "look waht I can do etc, no look at me etc", and she kept coming over to say Mummy, X and Y are so funny, and giggling etc. That did reassure me a bit.

I am not sure I am very keen on the girl she seems to have hooked up with in class, this girl is a bit precocious, and has already punched and kicked a few children in class. I am hoping that this will settle down, and that DD won't get injured again.

ahundredtimes · 16/04/2009 17:28

Yes, hopefully it will calm down, and she'll find her feet. Am confident she will, summer term good for that I think. I like the sound of the showing-off boys v. much. Those things are good too aren't they for knowledge. So next time she gets anxious you can say - remember how you had a nice time with the goony boys, it was fun and nice wasn't it? do you think?

Pd - yes, well you are the opposite of me. Holidays take me away from my computer, it's the rest of the time that's tricky.

pointydog · 16/04/2009 17:32

I have got children who want to be out with their friends in the holidays and I am meant to be working at home for some of this week.

So here I am, wasting my whole life

TooTicky · 16/04/2009 17:35

Mits's ds has returned.

ahundredtimes · 16/04/2009 17:36

Well officially aren't you just wasting this afternoon? Perhaps it is the whole of your life, the whole of your life in one afternoon. Zazoom. Gone. Down the internet. Just like that.

is deliciously distracting, that's the problem with it. And in my case, you write something and someone TALKS BACK So much more fun.

pointydog · 16/04/2009 17:39

it certainly feels like the whole of my life.

Right. I'm going to make the tea and read a little

ahundredtimes · 16/04/2009 17:40

That's good TooT.

Guadalupe · 16/04/2009 18:01

I keep trying to read Mr Pip for book group, HERE, therefore I ought to read it, but I am not in the mood for horror and there are horrors coming for sure. I might skim.

We have just been given some free tickets for Joseph tonight. This is a bonus because despte the fact that I loathe musicals, I have been feeling bad that dd has had no treats/trips/friends over like ds1 so this will do, she will love it, I will groan inwardly and look forward to a gin. Very good.

An egg and half a pint of prawns for dinner. They were meant to go in the kedgeree but I made short work of them while the rice cooked and covered up the pile of heads when they trooped in. Then there wasn't enough so I am saving points for gin and icecream.

FrannyandZooey · 16/04/2009 19:06

sorry the shower thing was meant to be funny

hmm

have forgotten anything and everything i wanted to say

oh! good-oh tiger. hope little tiger ok and healthy.

pink - you asked about hotels
we have found me and ds2 on bed (pushed up against wall), and ds1 and dp on floor (with cushion from sofa) and pull out sofa bed works the best
however if baby likely to cry and wake older child (or vice versa) you may wish you had got 2 rooms
they are so cheap we did consider it but dp and i decided we would rather muddle on through together, than sit peacefully apart

Evening all.
Sorry the blasted diary is still missing.
It'll be out there in the ether with all those missing socks, y'know.

I am another diary-less one. I rely on my calendar a lot, but generally have so little a social life that I can easily accomodate my social engagements diary in my head. And I am jobless, so don't need it for that. I do have an address book though. God, I'd be buggered if that went AWOL.

Anyway, today I have had
OJ
apple
pineapple
veg soup
fruit salad
mixed berries (massive bowl)
peppers

FrannyandZooey · 16/04/2009 19:58

i've bought another one
just about to start filling in what i can remember
