For anyone who wants a boost to their general health. The suggested goals are:

EAT 10 PORTIONS OF FRUIT AND VEGETABLES EVERY DAY - if you don't usually eat much fruit and veg I would build up gradually or you could upset your digestion.

DO (AT LEAST) 10 MINUTES OF EXERCISE EVERY DAY - can be yoga, stretching or something more energetic. The plan is that the idea of doing 10 minutes is not too daunting, and having started you may well find you want to do more.

There are no restrictions on what you eat so long as you get your 10 fruit and veg as well. The focus is not on weight loss but on improving our energy levels and hopefully our general mood and well-being. Sign up below and post here to tell us how you're getting on and how you are feeling.

Basic guidance on what constitutes a portion of fruit and veg here and you can download more detailed information by following the link at the very bottom of the page

at big house and no furniture.

I have a tiny house and loads of furniture. You can have some of ours if you like. I'll swap it for an extra couple of rooms.

100 I love your speed-coaching!

Avi, you're a little short on clutter, aren't you? I can help you there.

must go but just wanted to update

OP posts:
littlerach · 09/02/2009 19:19

Hurrah Fran.

Stuffit is right, TooT.
Dd1 learnt to shout "leave me alone" when at soft play once, as he kept getting pushed over/around by some older children. I told her to shout it loud. She did, they stared and ran off.

Actually, I had the "pleasure of some of the pupils form CC today when taking yr 3 swimming. They were awfil rude boys, swaering and taking the mickey out of these 7 yr old girls. One of whom commented "They must think swearing makes them look cool"

grapes
rasins

at no firniture. Kind of.

pinkspottywellies · 09/02/2009 19:28

I like my house. Just the right size. Not too much furniture, not too little. Nice garden - not too big, not too small. Lovely blue, rocket-ship themed bedroom

Carrots, broccoli, tomato, satsuma.

I spoke to my lovely friend/midwife today - the one who delivered dd. I saw her when dd was 6 months old and then all of a sudden it was now I sent her a card last week telling her of the imminent arrival. I now have her mobile number and she says to ask if she's at work when we go in and she'll try and 'attend'. It would be so fab to have her there again! She also has a very different view on how it went with dd to my memory of it. I thought I was sweary and shouty and rubbish she said I did really well and was fine!!

pinkspottywellies · 09/02/2009 19:30

Glad your friend got in touch Fran

Avi. Clean [stern]

FrannyandZooey · 09/02/2009 19:48

oh avi's house is so minimalist chic that she will only have to waft a feather duster around

ok absent friend didn't get in touch
i ignored you all and rang him AGAIN and i was about to leave impassioned message on his phone along lines of "for the love of god if what we had meant ANYTHING to you phone me"

when thank fuck he answered and saved me the bother

he was very shuffly and embarrassed and said he had just been crap and then it was too late and he felt too ashamed to ring

anyway
we are going to keep in touch now BUT
given that he clearly does feel a bit funny about SOMETHING should i address this and clear the air or should i just act normal or should i just let him drift off again? i do feel rather selfish as is clearly for my benefit atm to continue friendship, perhaps not his

sorry more me me me

i like throwing my arms around cabbage v much

and LOL at scrabble splinter group
i remember
i had to kick myself off the thread for scrabble obsession
oh dear

OP posts:
ahundredtimes · 09/02/2009 20:04

You only did scrabble because you were in a huffy about facebook.

I might not clear the air. I might suggest meeting in the evenings or meeting during child-free times, and not push him to have a relationship with your dcs. I'd probably do that.

FrannyandZooey · 09/02/2009 20:08

that is tricky atm as am only ever free of ds2 for hour or so
but yes could be done

you know i am so jealous of his previous ex, with whose children he has great relationship (they are not his)
this always seemed unfair - i know am being childish now

too true about facebook

OP posts:
FrannyandZooey · 09/02/2009 20:09

i had tea with his previous ex today
she was my best friend a long long time ago
this was strange inbred world i frequented before meeting my dp
we do know people who haven't slept with one another now

OP posts:
ahundredtimes · 09/02/2009 20:13

Golly, it's a hotbed round your way. Is she nice? Are you being competitive with her about him a little teensy bit?

I'd be jealous and annoyed by that too. Actually you know I might clear the air and Have It Out with him, but I usually regret doing that with people because it's supposed to clear the air but ends up muddying the waters.

Boco · 09/02/2009 20:16

I would do air clearing, because I still think there's a chance this has nothing to do with the boys. But if it has, I'd respect that and not force the issue.

ok renewed list
raisins
banana
spinach
3 bean thing
celery
orange
juice
pear
strawberries
green beans
carrots

At LEAST ten, probably more due to beans.

IT'S THE EYE OF THE TIGER ITS THE THRILL OF THE FIGHT!

FrannyandZooey · 09/02/2009 20:17

she is nice but it was all a bit much when i was going out with him and he wasn't really over her
i think i was rather in love with her too tbh
then i dumped him and he couldn't get over me
he is in these things for the long haul
i didn't speak to her for years but now we have tea occasionally
she is just nice rather dowdy older mum now, with teenage kids
funny old life

OP posts:
FrannyandZooey · 09/02/2009 20:19

what i would say, if i did, would be something like:

"was it a bit difficult for you when ds2 was born because i know you would like children yourself? because i used to feel that way when people had babies, so i could understand if you did too"

would that be terribly tactless and intrusive?

OP posts:
ahundredtimes · 09/02/2009 20:23

Golly, I don't know. The whole thing seems awful complicated suddenly. I like it though. I think that might be a tad too powerful - it's all about your baby then, and it might be difficult for him to talk about it in the context of your darling baby, or indeed for you to hear it.

I might say something like, 'did you get fed up with us because we keep having children? I used to find it really difficult when friends had children, mostly because I wanted them and didn't have them.' Something like that?

ahundredtimes · 09/02/2009 20:25

Actually is that ANY different from what you said?

Bee will know what to say

Pink I love that you love your house. Your so cosy and nice and your child tucks up in bed. I might come and live with you.

FrannyandZooey · 09/02/2009 20:25

am i just being hopelessly egotistical? i mean., is it not about this at all?
i wouldn't have thought it was except that he went REALLY funny when we had ds1 also, and dp noticed even
dp, unlike me, not prone to fits of egotistical imaginings
