Oh sweetheart,

You go, and have a good cry, but this happened to my uncle, and the main consolation he drew from it was, that the system works. A heart was available, he was on the list and the phone rang.

The next heart that turned up was his.

I will pray for you before I go to bed.

nutcracker · 03/04/2005 23:20

Oh no Misdee, so sorry

jampots · 03/04/2005 23:20

so too slow for this heart?

sparklymieow · 03/04/2005 23:20

another heart will come up Misdee, Peter is O postive and its very common.... don't give up.... (((hugs)))

marthamoo · 03/04/2005 23:21

misdee, I'm so sorry

kid · 03/04/2005 23:21

What a shame Hope he stabalizes as quickly as possible so he can come home again.
Maybe they will get another donor as quick as they did this time?

Gwenick · 03/04/2005 23:22

misdee - I'll pray for you too - and I've passed the basic details onto a prayer group I'm on too (nothing personal about you promise) so they're all praying.

misdee · 03/04/2005 23:22

there is only a certain amount of time to transplant a heart. so he wont get this one, and i dont know if anyone else there is suitable for it.

Ohhhh, misdee

Snugs · 03/04/2005 23:23

So sorry misdee

Gwenick · 03/04/2005 23:24

presumably (sp) they ring more than one person on the list - in case somehting like this happens so that there's more than one person 'available' for the heart to be donated to - it would be such a shame for the donor's family if it were to be completely wasted

sparklymieow · 03/04/2005 23:24

I did wonder what will happen to the heart now, I guess the next person on the list will get it...

misdee · 03/04/2005 23:25

i have no idea how it works. i do hope someone benefits from the families loss.

OP posts:
bensmum3 · 03/04/2005 23:25

So sorry misdee, hope they stabilise him quickly and keeping everything crossed that he gets another opportunity very soon.

hub2dee · 03/04/2005 23:25

Oh, Peter... so sorry this couldn't be done tonight. So many people were thinking about you and your dw.

misdee. - It does mean they're being thorough, and you'll get there soon.

Stub it out and get some sleep.
