Well having had experience of both I would say it's not what he's got but how he uses it! My exh had quite a long one but was crap at knowing what to do with it. Current dh doesn't need to strap it to the side of his leg but knows exactly which sort of doughnut I preefer.

And don't get me started on piles fgs!
