For anyone who wants a boost to their general health. The suggested goals are:

EAT 10 PORTIONS OF FRUIT AND VEGETABLES EVERY DAY - if you don't usually eat much fruit and veg I would build up gradually or you could upset your digestion.

DO (AT LEAST) 10 MINUTES OF EXERCISE EVERY DAY - can be yoga, stretching or something more energetic. The plan is that the idea of doing 10 minutes is not too daunting, and having started you may well find you want to do more.

There are no restrictions on what you eat so long as you get your 10 fruit and veg as well. The focus is not on weight loss but on improving our energy levels and hopefully our general mood and well-being. Sign up below and post here to tell us how you're getting on and how you are feeling.

Basic guidance on what constitutes a portion of fruit and veg here and you can download more detailed information by following the link at the very bottom of the page

Ah well, my fault.

LittleRach, if you're still there, I realise I sound like the most unmeetuppable with person atm but I'm actually quite civilised in RL. Tell her Franny.

Have replied TooT.

Mulled wine can be nice, but can also be vile.

Go on, do another meet and I'll try and be brave.

You getting drunk, TooT?

WE are decorating dd1's room, and it is cold and paint-smelly. But it is looking nicer and shouldn't take too long.

TooTickyDoves · 27/12/2008 19:57

Oh yes Avi, that orange yarn is great! The hat for the tiny baby was looking a bit small so I adapted it a bit and now it is a summer hat for dd2
Have now met and measured said baby and am now definitely making him a wee jacket.

Ds1 had some champagne at our friends yesterday. I don't think he really liked it though, he ate a big mouthful of jelly belly beans straight after, probably to get rid of taste.

How much alcohol is in shandy anyway? Ds pointed out that there is half a percent in his curiosity cola. I suppose there is always a bit from fermentation. I wouldn't worry about shandy too much today, but tell him not to buy it again if it makes you uncomfortable.

The wakny basket pictures are lovely. I like the side profile one best.

I am waiting for a board of cheese that has just come out of the fridge. I am looking forward to it very much. I am however, looking forward to when the eating stops, I'm beginning to feel quite toxic now. It's been a vacant sort of day.

Guadalupe · 27/12/2008 20:23

Um, melon, cabbage, peas

and grapes! Well, not yet, in a minute with my cheese.

TooTickyDoves · 27/12/2008 20:25

0.8%ABV. That's not a lot, is it? [hopeful]

I am eating very badly really.

FrayedKnot · 27/12/2008 20:27

Lovely pics Franny

Have been busy today, meeting up with old friends - one of whom have not seen since leaving school 20 yrs ago

Done some "Oh No He Isn't" at the panto

Been t see DSD and eaten about 50 sausage rolls

Guadalupe · 27/12/2008 20:27

I reckon your stollen is more alcoholic than that.

Guadalupe · 27/12/2008 20:29

Hello, fk. I could just eat a mini sausage roll. I do have some venison pie. God, I feel fat.

TooTickyDoves · 27/12/2008 20:30

I'll have you know my stollen is suitable for the nunliest of nuns. Or was. It is all gone apart from the carefully wrapped small ones that I intended to post to people.
