For anyone who wants a boost to their general health. The suggested goals are:

EAT 10 PORTIONS OF FRUIT AND VEGETABLES EVERY DAY - if you don't usually eat much fruit and veg I would build up gradually or you could upset your digestion.

DO (AT LEAST) 10 MINUTES OF EXERCISE EVERY DAY - can be yoga, stretching or something more energetic. The plan is that the idea of doing 10 minutes is not too daunting, and having started you may well find you want to do more.

There are no restrictions on what you eat so long as you get your 10 fruit and veg as well. The focus is not on weight loss but on improving our energy levels and hopefully our general mood and well-being. Sign up below and post here to tell us how you're getting on and how you are feeling.

Basic guidance on what constitutes a portion of fruit and veg here and you can download more detailed information by following the link at the very bottom of the page

Yes, there is a Lush but it is downtown. I will look next time I am there, Thanks.

I am sure a bit of shandy won't hurt. There can't be much booze in it, can there? I grew up drinking - the odd bit of wine here and a sip of my dad's beer there. There is a photo of my in my pushchair holding a pint glass and I am ok. More or less

TooTickyDoves · 27/12/2008 17:53

Yes she is. Because the others are. She has spilt some though and is likely to spill more. Oh I don't know. I am unfun enough with out constantly being The One Who Says No. Which I usually do.

FrannyandZooey · 27/12/2008 17:53

anyway
different people do different things
it's more important what YOU think about it, toot
when there's threads on this there's always plenty of people saying they were allowed alcohol and they have turned out fine blah blah europeans wine with meal blah blah blah

OP posts:
FrannyandZooey · 27/12/2008 17:55

lol there you go bunny!
i wouldn't let dd2 have as is illegal for under 5s
or does shandy not count? fuck knows
if you are happy then is main thing

OP posts:
TooTickyDoves · 27/12/2008 17:56

I don't know what I think. I think thinking is so important my lord.

FrannyandZooey · 27/12/2008 17:58

if you don't know what you think you are probably not fussed, so it is ok, i would say
leave me to fret about it and have my odd toilet dreams

OP posts:
SuperBunny · 27/12/2008 18:01

I agree Toot. If you are not outraged, just let them get on with it and don't give them more. And tell Dp to not do it again.

TooTickyDoves · 27/12/2008 18:02
FrannyandZooey · 27/12/2008 18:04

TooTickyDoves · 27/12/2008 18:24

Oh dear Franny

So, as an ultra cautious person who doesn't drink anything on the same day as driving, how much mulled wine can I have today if I am driving tomorrow? Shouldn't have had that shandy.

TooTickyDoves · 27/12/2008 18:26

What am I thinking? I don't even like red wine

FrannyandZooey · 27/12/2008 18:26

1 unit takes one hour to leave the body, counting from when you stop drinking
eg if you had 4 units and finished drinking at midnight, you would be alright by 4 am
however 1 unit is a little glass and i would allow slightly longer as you are not large yourself

OP posts:
FrannyandZooey · 27/12/2008 18:27

ooh mulled wine v nice imo

all wintry and comforting

OP posts:
SuperBunny · 27/12/2008 18:29

Mmmm, mulled wine. But why are you drinking it if you don't like it?

TooTickyDoves · 27/12/2008 18:31

hhHm. And I haven't had alcohol for...um...a while.

TooTickyDoves · 27/12/2008 18:32

I don't know SB. I think I just want to go a bit warm and fuzzy.

FrannyandZooey · 27/12/2008 18:38

i am wishing you some warm fuzziness toot
