For anyone who wants a boost to their general health. The suggested goals are:

EAT 10 PORTIONS OF FRUIT AND VEGETABLES EVERY DAY - if you don't usually eat much fruit and veg I would build up gradually or you could upset your digestion.

DO (AT LEAST) 10 MINUTES OF EXERCISE EVERY DAY - can be yoga, stretching or something more energetic. The plan is that the idea of doing 10 minutes is not too daunting, and having started you may well find you want to do more.

There are no restrictions on what you eat so long as you get your 10 fruit and veg as well. The focus is not on weight loss but on improving our energy levels and hopefully our general mood and well-being. Sign up below and post here to tell us how you're getting on and how you are feeling.

Basic guidance on what constitutes a portion of fruit and veg here and you can download more detailed information by following the link at the very bottom of the page

This will make me laugh out loud at odd moments - not many things do that - and people will think I'm a nutter.
Oh, like at the hosp when ds1 was doing odd things with a little mirror and making outlandsish faces while the dentist was talking to me and I nearly snorted.

littlerach · 26/12/2008 20:39

Tigerfeet, my feet are wide ish, but also high instep so awkward.

Am scoffign amaretto truffles form Waitrose.

Hi Lully and Boco. Happy boxing day.

TinyWhiteFeather · 26/12/2008 20:41

No, just dead battery...wil be fully loaded and ready for action soon.

Tries to tell this with dignity.
I bought myself a santa cowboy hat. With a furry trim. (I have a penchant for tactile things). My DC's keep mocking me and saying things like 'Howdy pardner' and 'Ride it cowgirl'.

I have recurring dreams that I have long hair again. (it was originally cut off when I had my accident) it is deeply emotional.

FrannyandZooey · 26/12/2008 20:41

LOL
dreams are undignified things

LittleRach, high instep ia a bugger, isn't it? I reject almost everything on gorounds of lack of arch support or excessive narrowness.

TooTickyDoves · 26/12/2008 20:48

Dear dear, first poos then tights.

Sorry about ds FK, seems to be a lot of it about.

I used to have dreams about being on impossibly high climbing frames.

Franny, you have a theme. You are halfway through things, or else wanting/needing to do things, which means you have a fear of them not getting done, which means you are actually very anal organised and the best thing you can possibly do for your own sanity and mine is organise a nice 10/10 meet up. Soon. And you will sleep better for it.

SuperBunny · 26/12/2008 21:05

I don't really have dreams these days. Apart from when I got a bit drunk a few weeks ago and had two:

  1. I was hobbling and needed implants which turned out to be a cockraoch in my little toe except that they forgot to kill it and it woke me up with its wriggling and because they had already operated on me and inserted it, it had to stay put.

  2. Something about meat production and a cattle corpse being kept on a breathing machine and the whole thing was quite revolting.

Both very disturbing at the time

TooTickyDoves · 26/12/2008 21:08

SB! I should stick to not dreaming if I were you!

SuperBunny · 26/12/2008 21:11

I know! I can still feel the 'roach in my little toe

TooTickyDoves · 26/12/2008 21:20

Bee you should read about Franny's poo dreams. It's not far to scroll....

SuperBunny · 26/12/2008 22:18

Pineapple and rum sounds v good to me

DS has been calling me Mary all day. I wouldn't mind but my name isn't Mary

SuperBunny · 27/12/2008 04:44

What is Nigari Tofu? Is it just a brand name or is there something special about it?

I want to make this quinoa recipe

SB just googled nigari tofu and it is a very firm tofu. I flirted briefly with tofu some years ago but couldn't really get on with it. My boyfriend at the time was a vegan but existed mainly on peanuts, orange juice and marmite on toast so I was trying to expand his repertoire a bit. We both hated tofu though and resorted to Beanfeast

I have a question now - can anyone recommend an extremely mild shampoo that won't irritate my scalp? I have suddenly started reacting to the stuff I was using, and I have run out of options on the high street now. I'm sure there are loads of organic, chemically minimalistic brands out there if I surf t'internet but I'd prefer a recommendation

sprouts x 36486 [ppphhrrrrrppp]
carrots
broccoli
cauli
satsumas x 53097
banana
dried fruit in form of mince pies, christmas cake etc
