For anyone who wants a boost to their general health. The suggested goals are:

EAT 10 PORTIONS OF FRUIT AND VEGETABLES EVERY DAY - if you don't usually eat much fruit and veg I would build up gradually or you could upset your digestion.

DO (AT LEAST) 10 MINUTES OF EXERCISE EVERY DAY - can be yoga, stretching or something more energetic. The plan is that the idea of doing 10 minutes is not too daunting, and having started you may well find you want to do more.

There are no restrictions on what you eat so long as you get your 10 fruit and veg as well. The focus is not on weight loss but on improving our energy levels and hopefully our general mood and well-being. Sign up below and post here to tell us how you're getting on and how you are feeling.

Basic guidance on what constitutes a portion of fruit and veg here and you can download more detailed information by following the link at the very bottom of the page

Well, yes, I see what you mean, but I carried on well past knowing I'd get a hangover and then I singed off all my chest millia (sp?) so I probably will get a cold after all.

Are you rough? Neck cider vinegar and garlic. I have got through half a bottle of Aspalls in the last few days, no more sneezing yet..

FrannyandZooey · 26/12/2008 12:19

i am rough yes
but did you have to mention it on here

no i am ok
just a bit grumpy (despite huge lie in)
bit chesty
shall i eat one of those miracle fruits and then drink vinegar? apparently it tastes like lemonade or something

OP posts:
FrannyandZooey · 26/12/2008 12:20

now the chest millia thing has lost me
is that through smoking the spliff? are the milia the little hair things?

OP posts:
Guadalupe · 26/12/2008 12:26

Is it milia with one L? Yes, and I carried on smoking last night and we are going to see our camping friends this afternoon so I may well again. That's the only time really, christmas and camping. I sound very restrained don't I.

Um, just drink the vinegar, you don't have to make it taste pretty.

FrannyandZooey · 26/12/2008 12:27

i'm not drinking VINEGAR are you MAD?
well i am a bit jealous, i would love to be able to just smoke at certain times
but i can't and i would die of it and may still yet of course so i shall just be

OP posts:
Guadalupe · 26/12/2008 12:29

It took a few years giving up to be able to do it. Luckliy these days I am aware of the absence of milia nd feel disposed to let them grow again.

You put a spoon of it in orange juice. It's quite palatable.

FrannyandZooey · 26/12/2008 12:29

i can't find the chest sort of milia / millia on google at all
only the spotty kind
but i do know what you mean

OP posts:
Guadalupe · 26/12/2008 12:30

Guadalupe · 26/12/2008 12:30

Aha!

CILIA, that's it.

FrannyandZooey · 26/12/2008 12:46

Lovely boys, Fran.

I have had a huge spliff in my house for the past 12 months but haven't dared smoke it for fear of being asked to take a drug test. So, today, I am going to throw it out . It's old now anyway so I think it'll be manky. But still...

Morning glory sounds interesting. We have little flowers named morning glory here but I suspect they are not the same

littlerach · 26/12/2008 15:50

I wouldn't dare smoke again as I don't think I'd be able to say no the next time

WE have had a more relaxing day today.
The girls got their presents from us today, and from our friends.
Dd1 had a perfume lab and loves it.

Dh bought me soem lovely cook books and also some green shoes . They are fabulous. And my green coat from M and S. And a green glass necklace.

Anyone spot a theme

It is sunny

FrannyandZooey · 26/12/2008 16:36

please link to both if possible

i have been thinking about that santa train, bunny. so cool!

Necklace is from little shop n Bath, so no link.

My neice is 5 months too, Fran, and so gorgeous. She has the most grabbable legs imaginable

FrannyandZooey · 26/12/2008 17:10

rach they're fab
i have been looking for a flat pair of more emerald colour shoes for ages
those are really nice though

OP posts:
littlerach · 26/12/2008 17:25

They have lots like htose on that website.
They are very wide fitting - good for my old lady feet!

TigerFeet · 26/12/2008 17:31

OOoohh those shoes are fab

@ spliff - the only intoxicant I partake of these days is wine (odd vodka/lager/cider). I like it too much and I have to be a grown up and be responsible for my body, my daughter and my bank account. All or nothing here. It would be lovely if I could take it or leave it but that slope is just too slippery.

Franny your boys grow more yummy by the day

We have had a far better day today. Inlaws here. Christmas dinner inclusive of wine [slurp] - all cooked by me and proclaimed a triumph. The inlaws have brought more stuff for dd than we got her despite being asked to tone it down. DD is the only child of their only child so they tend to go completely ott.

We have loads of vegetablish leftovers so am hunting out a recipe for bubble and squeak

TigerFeet · 26/12/2008 17:34

littlerach - how wide are your feet? Do you always need wide shoes? My feet are seemingly almost as wide as they are long and I struggle to buy shoes on the high street, or, well anywhere really

FrannyandZooey · 26/12/2008 18:50

merry stuff n ting! Hope you all had pleasingly pleasant times.

I got the mother-lode of presents and now feel a bit flat about the ones I got for everyone else. I'll get over it though . I got things from Karen Millen / Jigsaw from DH and things from Le Crueset from others. I won't say anymore about the other stuff as you will kick me in the arse repeatedly for being a v v v lucky girl.

We played catch with a tennis ball for about an hour on Perranporth beach today in glorious (albeit freeeeeezing) sunshine and then went for beers in the beach pub. The pub was not so glorious, but there were beers and staff, what more can you ask on Boxing Day?

Peace.
xx

SuperBunny · 26/12/2008 19:41

A perfume lab must be a great gift. I used to make do with jam jars of water and rose petals. No-one ever wanted any of it though. Fabulous shoes.

@ Mr Avi and his shoe comment.

We just saw The Tale of Desperaux. It was full of 2 and 3 year olds but the film is actually quite dark and serious. I was quite surprised. The art was amazing, the story not so much.
