For anyone who wants a boost to their general health. The suggested goals are:

EAT 10 PORTIONS OF FRUIT AND VEGETABLES EVERY DAY - if you don't usually eat much fruit and veg I would build up gradually or you could upset your digestion.

DO (AT LEAST) 10 MINUTES OF EXERCISE EVERY DAY - can be yoga, stretching or something more energetic. The plan is that the idea of doing 10 minutes is not too daunting, and having started you may well find you want to do more.

There are no restrictions on what you eat so long as you get your 10 fruit and veg as well. The focus is not on weight loss but on improving our energy levels and hopefully our general mood and well-being. Sign up below and post here to tell us how you're getting on and how you are feeling.

Basic guidance on what constitutes a portion of fruit and veg here and you can download more detailed information by following the link at the very bottom of the page

I think I'm clenching in my sleep Avi.

I am hoping to pop in tomorrow - can't handle the vegger withdrawals

Gorgeous photo Franny ds2 is developing the same smile as ds1, isn't he?

Stollens seem okay. Can't judge much by the tiny bits I have picked off the edges.

Hope you all have a wonderful day and lots of hugs and kisses!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

TooTickyDoves · 24/12/2008 22:31

Franny, for you. 'Tis near us. The whole street is quite lively actually.

Guadalupe · 24/12/2008 22:36

Toot - that's AMAZING. I have been lolling all evening about driving round giving marks to the lights. It's brilliant.

Avi - I know the feeling. I am trying to ignore the fuzzy legs, hot neck and so but it is persisting.

DD still awake. I peered at her and she said 'are you real?', so I said yes and she said 'oh, I was hoping I was asleep'.

Merry Christmas my lovelies

This thread has been lovely today - I am so glad people popped in to say hello

We went downtown to do some singing with my singing people and the came home and made reindeer food and out mince pies out for santa. DS with his Dad tonight so I will tuck into a Tartex sarnie or something in a while .

Toot, what have you done to your jaw? Do you think you should see a dr about it?

Mou, what's up with your stomach?

Glittery get well vibes to those who need them

I want Camembert now.

Lullabyloo · 25/12/2008 01:12

Happy Happy Christmas Lovely ones xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx

TooTickyDoves · 25/12/2008 01:33

Really Avi? I may wish to know more. Best thing I've found so far is to jam my tongue between my back teeth but it doesn't actually work very well.
Do you know why you do it? Do you do it all the time or does it go in phases? Sorry to fire questions!

Right, the stollen is v. good. The marzipan is maybe oversweet but that's not my doing.

Oh, lovely lovely to see everybody.

{{{{Zippi}}}}

Guad, at dd!

I may go to bed in a minute.

Poor ds1's cough is v. bad tonight but I think he has now settled.

SuperBunny · 25/12/2008 01:49

Lully! And Zippi! On the same day! And Avi's been here too. Oh, oh ohhhh

Am so glad the Stollen is good. Can you link to the recipe, toot? I can't find it.

'Santa' has been. But DS has 3 things in his stocking Have scouted around to find other things to poke in but am feeling a bit shit about being a crap mother and not even being able to fill a stocking for him.

Anyway, FC left magic sprinkles & forgot to take his hat when he left so it looks messy festive.

TooTickyDoves · 25/12/2008 08:34

Oh SB, you are not in any way crap. You do so much and ds will be a very happy little bunny I am sure.

punky stollen

I wish you all...

Hello lovely ones,

Lully! Zippi!

DH is asleep on the sofa - he coughed all night and didn't sleep. I was on Santa duty and dd wouldn't go to sleep, it was gone 1am before I could fill her stocking. THen dh's coughing kept me awake. DD was up at around 6.30. I am knackered. I still feel all festive and glowy though. DD is a happy little soul, she loves all her new stuff and keeps exclaiming about how clever Father Christmas is for knowing exactly what she wanted . Four is a good age for CHristmas magic isn't it?

Big roast planned for later but not sure if I will bother tbh - dh has very little appetite and neither do I. I've been feeling decidedly nauseous for the past few days - excessively tired I reckon.

I'd love a slice of stollen Toot if there's one going!

Off to watch THe Wizard of Oz now - FC left it for dd

FrannyandZooey · 25/12/2008 13:58

ooh lully and zippi! lovely to see you
wish tatties would pop in
and boco and 100 and everyone
happy christmas to all veggers and visitors

will report details later but are having lovely day
so sorry avi family not well
sb i bet he has a wonderful day - the sprinkles and hat sound so exciting

xxx

Happy christmas!!!

I feel much better thanks, franny, a bit achey but no sneezing today. The lights are very you but it's a good idea. I might take it up.

We've just back from my mother's which was surprisingly harmonious. I even phoned her to say that was nice wasn't it? I smoked a spliff though so now dh is finishing dinner as I can't be faffed and ds is watching harry potter and I am going to walk round the block with dd on her new heelies and give marks out of ten to the christmas trees in the window.

Hope you all have a marvellous day.

TooTickyDoves · 25/12/2008 15:55

I have probably eaten too much stollen. We are having lunch shortly

Lots of love to everybody, especially the poorly ones!

Dcs have been a bit short-tempered with illness but there have been lovely moments too like ds2 feeding ds1 slices of apple with his playmobil crane. Ds1 was a shark. I have photos

FrannyandZooey · 25/12/2008 16:11

lol guad it read like YOU were wearing the heelies after smoking the spliff
which would have been interesting

dp got some of these
oh my

FrannyandZooey · 25/12/2008 16:14

guad you have to have a score sheet you know
and clipboards

the worst thing is there is actually a competition and someone judges them and gives a small prize
and one year we were doing our thing with our clipboards and someone stopped us and asked if we were the judges
and we had to say no we were just doing it because we liked it
dp says he puts up with a lot for me

SuperBunny · 25/12/2008 16:37

Guad! You smoked a spliff? On xmas day? Probably the best day for it, actually...

Tootlets sound lovely. As does YMCA dancing.

I love Post Punk Kitchen - stollen looks good. Will try next week.

DS back in an hour or so, so I should go and do Stuff.
