For anyone who wants a boost to their general health. The suggested goals are:

EAT 10 PORTIONS OF FRUIT AND VEGETABLES EVERY DAY - if you don't usually eat much fruit and veg I would build up gradually or you could upset your digestion.

DO (AT LEAST) 10 MINUTES OF EXERCISE EVERY DAY - can be yoga, stretching or something more energetic. The plan is that the idea of doing 10 minutes is not too daunting, and having started you may well find you want to do more.

There are no restrictions on what you eat so long as you get your 10 fruit and veg as well. The focus is not on weight loss but on improving our energy levels and hopefully our general mood and well-being. Sign up below and post here to tell us how you're getting on and how you are feeling.

Basic guidance on what constitutes a portion of fruit and veg here and you can download more detailed information by following the link at the very bottom of the page

FMV - I hate you - how heartless

TBH I don;t get all tht stuff or understand it or get why people are betrayed. I am afraid I don;t understand why people are upset either.

I hope you are all having a nice run up to yule.

Season wishes to all who are whizzing off and a special squeeze to FMV for being a silly goose IMO.

FrannyandZooey · 23/12/2008 11:05

i think we had better drop it, tbh, as some of us might be holding our tongues for the sake of peace on this thread
i meant what I said of course fmf
but i don't want to get into it further - on THIS thread - if people don't mind

SuperBunny · 23/12/2008 14:13

Mornin'

All these mango virgins on a thread with cunting in the title, eh?

I'm not getting my knockers in a twist about anything. Nor my knickers.

Merry christmas to all to those who are off.

It's snowing A LOT and I have to go driving for urgent christmas wine food.

TinyWhiteFeather · 23/12/2008 15:11

Nuts!

I do despise c***g, manky nuts. You take a big enthusiastic chomp and then it is vile and tastes like mouldy earwax bleeeeuuurrrrggghhh!!!!!

FMV {{{{{{HUGS}}}}}} and a christmas kiss with bells on!

Tenor sax Toot, it's my baby and needs lots of TLC and 'tooting'!.

'ello SB,.....

Last lot of ironing to finish..unless anyone wants to send me any so I can pretend to be busy.

Sees ya later.

Don't you dare all go away...

littlerach · 23/12/2008 15:20

Afternoon, SB.

More snow

WE have grey drizzle and clouds - wanna swap?

Can we make this a nice warm place, away form the craziness in MN?

FrayedKnot · 23/12/2008 17:43

Hello hello

I think I am nearly ready for Christmas! I may have to find myself a festive name and everything.

Happy Birthday to the eldest Fumflet!

Can I be the only person who read "Sax" as "Sex" earlier

FrayedKnot · 23/12/2008 17:44

I had some chilli almonds earlier. They were quite bizarre.

BBBee · 23/12/2008 18:16

oh it is quite soon isn't it.

i haven't bought any nuts because they were left over last year but now i miss them.

oh it is quite exciting isn't it.

FrannyandZooey · 23/12/2008 18:20

peace on earth goodwill to veggers

ds2 is such a darling chubber
i wish i could send you each a cuddle with him for christmas

TooT i certainly will send although not till next week now probably - is that ok? it looks quite good - perhaps not as fab as i thought
yes indeed i do have a present cupboard
we have no under the bed you see, which is where i believe presents are traditionally hidden

FrannyandZooey · 23/12/2008 18:23

i am readier than i was
i have made covers for the compilation cds we have made ds1 for a present
this was of warped importance in my mind so am very glad to have got it done
they look groovy tbh

SuperBunny · 23/12/2008 18:39

It's quiet on here today

I read sax as sex too, FK so you are not alone.

I bought some brazil nuts this morning but they are shelled which is not quite the same. I was going to buy hazelnuts so we could make nutella but they didn't have any.

Happy birthday FMFlet

BBBee · 23/12/2008 18:53

i know this is really the wrong time of year but what exercise do you find the easiest to do and how do you motivate yourselves?

I feel a new year shove up the bum coming on.

SuperBunny · 23/12/2008 19:00

I hate running but I find it easiest to do because I have to keep up with a machine. Other than that, walking, yoga or swimming.

FrannyandZooey · 23/12/2008 19:18

only gym works for me
i hate weather (hot, cold, wet, windy etc) and get dreadful shin splints if i try to run
i like the obvious progression at the gym eg being able to lift a bigger weight than you could last month
and the neatness of it - it is structured and a bit ritualistic

OP posts:
TooTickyDoves · 23/12/2008 19:31

Bee, shoving things up your bum is not exercise. Absolutely not.

Feather, I'm not going anywhere, don't worry.

Franny, yes very much please and thank you. What about this castle? Could you use it?

Hugs to everybody
