For anyone who wants a boost to their general health. The suggested goals are:

EAT 10 PORTIONS OF FRUIT AND VEGETABLES EVERY DAY - if you don't usually eat much fruit and veg I would build up gradually or you could upset your digestion.

DO (AT LEAST) 10 MINUTES OF EXERCISE EVERY DAY - can be yoga, stretching or something more energetic. The plan is that the idea of doing 10 minutes is not too daunting, and having started you may well find you want to do more.

There are no restrictions on what you eat so long as you get your 10 fruit and veg as well. The focus is not on weight loss but on improving our energy levels and hopefully our general mood and well-being. Sign up below and post here to tell us how you're getting on and how you are feeling.

Basic guidance on what constitutes a portion of fruit and veg here and you can download more detailed information by following the link at the very bottom of the page

my bananas were also cunting SB.....accross the oceans, we share the same pain.

SuperBunny · 22/12/2008 20:15

United, as ever (even if by cunting fruit)

FrannyandZooey · 22/12/2008 20:16

ah those innocent days bunny
what is up, not those seed things? they sound truly awful

Well this will shock you but I have never eaten a mango before (except in chutney and possibly some of those anonymous fruits you get in fruit salads on airlines). But I understand the cunting reference. In my book, it is followed by the word avocadoes. I could pay off the entire national debt with the money I have wasted on rotten avocadoes.

No seeds, this time thankfully. Still feel sick thinking about that. These are green bananas that go black overnight without ever turning yellow I forgot that avocados do that too

DG, you MUST eat a mango!

DumbledoresGirl · 22/12/2008 20:31

Yes but how can I now? I am a mango novice and now I know that there are so many pitfalls to be found within mangoes, how do I dare venture forth to eat one knowing I am eating it at its zenith? I need an expert to guide me down the true path of enlightenment and the only person I know who would know about mangoes is my MIL who is Australian but she isn't over here for months yet!

DasherDancerPrancerFMVixen · 22/12/2008 20:35

perpares glittery curtain for the entrance of the Fruit Loopers' own mango expert.....

....who is busily and enthusiastically discussing chocolate on another thread

DumbledoresGirl · 22/12/2008 20:38

LOL, that fanfare was a bit muted maybe? Have you plugged it into the intercom?

OsmosisFaLaLaLaLa · 22/12/2008 21:03

evening fruity bitches.

What the devil is going on? What is a moldie? What does Narnia mean? Jeez... I go to the pub for a drink and the whole of MN is in disarray with no easily found explanations.

rocket
courgette
onion
pepper
garlic
OJ
satsuma
peppadew peppers
kulfi ice cream

  1. Not bad. May squeeze in a couple more satsumas... No exercise. I have thrown exercising out of the window.
DasherDancerPrancerFMVixen · 22/12/2008 21:05

pickled onions...

SuperBunny · 22/12/2008 21:11

Ooo, kulfi and pickled onions. Yum

OsmosisFaLaLaLaLa · 22/12/2008 21:32

right, have caught up with the chaos. People are muppets aren't they?

Not me, no siree.

Still not getting the narnia thing but I'll get over it.

DasherDancerPrancerFMVixen · 22/12/2008 21:34

'Kinell OB, you're a fast reader...I'm still playing catch up.

FrayedKnot · 22/12/2008 21:55

BBBee you made me larf about the flirting.

Moldies - FMV I think you were already a member of the Moldies board before it became Moldies, right? It doesn;t bother me at all, but I can understand why some people have got upset about it.

I have gymned for an hour and a half tonight

Had a stressy day at work and felt rather tired and emotional, and now I feel so much better

Also had 4 portions fruit and 4 of veg which is better than I have for ages.

I seem to be starting my post- Christmas health kick rather early

DasherDancerPrancerFMVixen · 22/12/2008 21:57

yup. But I have already lost 2 MN 'allies' over this (that I know of). I'm glad to know tbh. I appreciate their honesty in repsonse to mine.

FrayedKnot · 22/12/2008 21:58

Next year we will all have to meet up in London during Mango season (I will get a tip off from my lovely friend at work as to which mango seller stall we need to go to) and we will have a mango fest.

FrayedKnot · 22/12/2008 22:33

Lol at Franny in her nurses' uniform

Avi, join me on my pre-Christmas health kick!

TooTickyDoves · 22/12/2008 23:40

Does anybody know if I can go to an actual shop and physically buy The Once Upon A Time Map Book for ds2? Because I am a shit mother who has left it too late to order. I think it is slightly out of print. But not by many years.

Fmf, I will always love you. You are more likely to drop me for being a pain in the arse.

Avi, sounds like fun passing things in on sticks. If he is grumbly and annoying you could dangle them just out of reach.

poinsettia99divine · 23/12/2008 00:47

By the way, I am busy finishing work, so am too busy to MNet but FMV I just wanted to say, for what it's worth, I think you are great, your posts are great, your honesty is painstaking and I think the Moldie thing is wholly unimportant

oh, ok then (((((((fruity hugs)))))

and no need for cunting avocadoes. Buy them rock hard, wrap them in newspaper and put them in a drawer. 2 days later, perfect avocadoes and no blackness!!!

Happy Christmas, that is my present to you fruity vegger lovely bitches
