For anyone who wants a boost to their general health. The suggested goals are:

EAT 10 PORTIONS OF FRUIT AND VEGETABLES EVERY DAY - if you don't usually eat much fruit and veg I would build up gradually or you could upset your digestion.

DO (AT LEAST) 10 MINUTES OF EXERCISE EVERY DAY - can be yoga, stretching or something more energetic. The plan is that the idea of doing 10 minutes is not too daunting, and having started you may well find you want to do more.

There are no restrictions on what you eat so long as you get your 10 fruit and veg as well. The focus is not on weight loss but on improving our energy levels and hopefully our general mood and well-being. Sign up below and post here to tell us how you're getting on and how you are feeling.

Basic guidance on what constitutes a portion of fruit and veg here and you can download more detailed information by following the link at the very bottom of the page

Sorry, I am running 2 minutes behind the rest of you.

Did you know that a lot of people missed the first train through Bristol because they were using Bristol time and the train was running to London time? It is one of my pet facts.

Take care Daisy, don't stay away too long or we will put cunting mangoes through your letterbox [wicked]

poinsettia99divine · 22/12/2008 17:55

FrannyandZooey · 22/12/2008 18:28

and who put that fucking PIN there

OP posts:
SuperBunny · 22/12/2008 18:46

Good Afternoon, Bitches.

What's with the pins? A yurt has been referred to as long as I've been on here, Franny.

Well done DG, a banana is a great start!

Toot, will you report back about your stollen, please? I made a lovely one but I think it was all the eggs that made it light and fluffy. I would like to make an eggless one that isn't as solid as a brick.

So far (and it is only 12:30) I have eaten:

carrot
raisins
olives
artichokes
red pepper (a whole one)
blueberries

so that is 6. Hooray. AND I walked 2 or 3 miles through the snow with a 30lb 3 yr old strapped to my back. That MUST count as exercise.

FrannyandZooey · 22/12/2008 18:50

whoa bunny that is impressive
what kind of carrier do you use?

ah well
the yurt must have crept in some OTHER time i was away, then i do tend to swan off

OP posts:
littlerach · 22/12/2008 18:50

Yes,\ i want to hear about the stollen too.

WE have been busy today, all day, I ma very tired.
And still a little teary and wobbly. But better I htink.

Dh has stayed here and not gone away which helps. [fsmike]

daisy, merry christmas and hope you have a relaxing coupke of days.

Mou, how are you?

SB, I am of the snow. It si positively warm here - about 12 degrees.

Can't rememebr what I have eaten really, nothing outstanding.
