For anyone who wants a boost to their general health. The suggested goals are:

EAT 10 PORTIONS OF FRUIT AND VEGETABLES EVERY DAY - if you don't usually eat much fruit and veg I would build up gradually or you could upset your digestion.

DO (AT LEAST) 10 MINUTES OF EXERCISE EVERY DAY - can be yoga, stretching or something more energetic. The plan is that the idea of doing 10 minutes is not too daunting, and having started you may well find you want to do more.

There are no restrictions on what you eat so long as you get your 10 fruit and veg as well. The focus is not on weight loss but on improving our energy levels and hopefully our general mood and well-being. Sign up below and post here to tell us how you're getting on and how you are feeling.

Basic guidance on what constitutes a portion of fruit and veg here and you can download more detailed information by following the link at the very bottom of the page

Thanks Bee.

100x, I knew that.

TooTickyDoves · 21/12/2008 20:27

Sorry about the party 100x.

FrayedKnot · 21/12/2008 20:29

I am cross for you about the party, 100.

In fact I am Christmastly cross

How many people came to the high heeled party with no food?

ahundredtimes · 21/12/2008 20:29

Stop me going on the Moldies threads. I'm sticking up for them too. I'm don't even post there.

I'd better go and put children to bed. I am a bit as I was sulky and said 'I want to go to a party' at supper, and ds1 looked crestfallen. That was BAD too. So I had to do lots of insincere cheer after that. Oh dear. Not good. Is all dh's fault. EVERYTHING IS HIS FAULT.

FrannyandZooey · 21/12/2008 20:30

let's not talk moldies on here

apple grapes pear banana raisins
mixed sprouts cuc tom yellow pepper
avocado - 1 small one

dg eating veg is better than fruit! eat beans and lentils and green leafies, and lots of different colours if you can

Oh FK. They all wore lovely shoes - a friend commented on it! Was my 40th birthday party. I had a mid-life crisis off line, which is a shame. I wish I'd been posting then, I could have had it on the internet.

party cheered me up though. Not masses of people - 30 or something? Lots of GREAT SHOES and cocktails all night.

TooTickyDoves · 21/12/2008 20:30

100x I do like you.

FrannyandZooey · 21/12/2008 20:32

Even though I is now officially old?

TooTickyDoves · 21/12/2008 20:32

Obviously I like all of you.

I bet 100x had her crisis with style.

FrannyandZooey · 21/12/2008 20:33

oh 100 how fab
happy 40th

ahundredtimes · 21/12/2008 20:34

Hmm. Well I kept looking at these cards which said things like Fabulous at Forty, and thinking 'who the hell is forty?'

TooTickyDoves · 21/12/2008 20:35

Old my foot.

We haven't even acquired half the stuff that needs wrapping.

BBBee · 21/12/2008 20:35

oh good shoes and cocktails - how wonderful. see, women are much better because we have all this stuff.

100 - i will qualify in 2010. i have to work on placement three days a week but i resigned last week as i had ethical issues about the set up - all a hoohah but over now and not the stuff of internet.

TooTickyDoves · 21/12/2008 20:36

But I did make cards today.
Which will doubtless arrive late.

BBBee · 21/12/2008 20:37

oh franny - my heart did a squeeze and breath caught in my throat when you said you had a fat baby on your nipple.

it was adn but mostly mostly mostly

FrayedKnot · 21/12/2008 20:37

How lovely...I asked actually because I am going to be 40 next year and was thinking about having a party and we don;t really do parties at home.

If I have one it will definitely involve shoes and cocktails.

Sorry about your crisis

TooTickyDoves · 21/12/2008 20:39

Can we have a spring meet up in Kew Gardens? I want something to look forward to.

ahundredtimes · 21/12/2008 20:41

Oh it wasn't a blue face sort of crisis FK! Promise. It mostly boiled down to me saying to dh 'you know, I think perhaps a life fully lived would be one with lots of husbands. So I could say I married dh and he was funny and handsome and lovely and we had children, then there were the Ricardo years in Rome and that passionate affair with Nico in Greece of course.'

No wonder he's gone to a party on his own. He took it in good grace.

I am quite immature I think.

YES have a party. I nearly didn't, but then suddenly and rather last minutely decided to. I'm pleased I did. Wasn't here - was in a room on top of a rather funky bar - which made cocktails. I wouldn't normally hold a party for myself tbh, but I'm glad I did.

SuperBunny · 21/12/2008 20:42

Yes, I am really making cheese. Well, paneer at least. So not whole wheels of mature cheddar or anything but still exciting. I am wonderinbg if you can make it from soy milk.

TooT, EAT, don't hide. Or eat then hide. But eat, please.

ahundred

FrayedKnot · 21/12/2008 20:43

I have mostly wrapped. But um...the cards thing has been a bit hit and miss this year

I seem to have lost loads of addresses.

I have christmas cake icing fear. I keep getting out the marzipan and then putting it back again and sitting down in front of MN.

DasherDancerPrancerFMVixen · 21/12/2008 20:43

Happy Birthday (belatedly) 100. Cocoktail parties with no food are ace!
I may have one in 18 months' time . And a ceilidh.
May I send you a card saying: ''Flaccid, flaky, falling apart, and fossilised at Forty?''
Not because you are - wuit ethe opposite? Merely because I cannot abide cards which say ''fabulous at Forty''.
It is like cards for women which have handbags and shopping and shoes on and are all pink. And the word pamper.

ahundredtimes · 21/12/2008 20:44

Only I'll never have the Ricardo Years because I'm here in my slippers while he has swanned off.

JJ is STARING at me. I think he's depressed. He keeps sighing. Perhaps he wanted to go to a party too?

I'd better go and tell my children to shower. Cheerfully. So ds1 doesn't feel let down by my attitude.

ahundredtimes · 21/12/2008 20:45

I was AMAZED FMV how many people write in their cards 'welcome to the club' or 'welcome to the other side - it's great,' Very odd.

TooTickyDoves · 21/12/2008 20:45

I won't be able to hide anyway.

Soya cheese seems to involve potato starch, I think. I don't think it curdles in such a solid way. Unless tofu is actually soya cheese....
