we want to get our son circumsized but don't know if we should. any advise?

the doctor has tried to advise us not to as it is an unnecessary surgical procedure. My partner is circumsized and we both agree it is much cleaner and hygenic but don't know if we should do it or not. has anyone had their young son circumsized? and advise?

There is some talk that having a foreskin increases sexual pleasure though - as a glans that's bashed around in pants all day loses some sensitivity - if it has a foreskin, then when it's retracted, woohoo! That's one reason men are regrowing them by tying weights to them...

FWIW, I think it's unnecessary and unpleasant to have your child circumcised because you're worried their willy might get a bit grubby otherwise (I'd love to know what the religious reasons are though) - though obviously I have no problem with medically necessary circumcision.

And I prefer the uncircumcised look (think circumcised willies look like mushrooms ).

So, no, it's not a clitoris, but to say it doesn't impact a man's sexual function is bollux. I guess a man who was circumcised as an infant can't tell the difference, but I have to say personally I'm a total convert and can't believe I once thought it was okay to mutilate ANYONE'S genitals, male or female, for cosmetic purposes.
