For anyone who wants a boost to their general health. The suggested goals are:

EAT 10 PORTIONS OF FRUIT AND VEGETABLES EVERY DAY - if you don't usually eat much fruit and veg I would build up gradually or you could upset your digestion.

DO (AT LEAST) 10 MINUTES OF EXERCISE EVERY DAY - can be yoga, stretching or something more energetic. The plan is that the idea of doing 10 minutes is not too daunting, and having started you may well find you want to do more.

There are no restrictions on what you eat so long as you get your 10 fruit and veg as well. The focus is not on weight loss but on improving our energy levels and hopefully our general mood and well-being. Sign up below and post here to tell us how you're getting on and how you are feeling.

Basic guidance on what constitutes a portion of fruit and veg here and you can download more detailed information by following the link at the very bottom of the page

Did you really, SB, that's quite dedicated.

SuperBunny · 12/12/2008 17:18

lol @ guad beating up Sally

SuperBunny · 12/12/2008 17:21

I am nothing if not dedicated!

Boco · 12/12/2008 17:22

Lol Guad, you have a terrifying streak.

Am pacing again, sorry to go on and on about this all the time on here, but you know when there's no one to ask and you just don't trust your own instincts. My instincts just keep telling me to panic so they're not helpful. E says her brain is freezing, she has a temperature, she's shivering and she looks so pale. Bundled up and coughing and crying then dozing. It's not right. I hope the antibiotics kick in quickly. I did leave it too long.

SuperBunny · 12/12/2008 17:51

Boco, can you call the dr?

SuperBunny · 12/12/2008 17:53

You are NOT going on about it.

I know you must feel awful - whatever you do isn't going to be perfect but please don't blame yourself.

Guadalupe · 12/12/2008 18:04

She'll be saying her brain is freezing because it just feels weird when you have a temperature, don't worry about that. All you can do really is ring the doctor and tell him how she is and see if you should wait for them to work. At what point do they normally admit her, is it when you can't control her breathing with the inhalor?

DasherDancerPrancerFMVixen · 12/12/2008 18:04

oh Boco darling, you are doing the best you can. x

DasherDancerPrancerFMVixen · 12/12/2008 18:07

full moon frienzy

Biggest full moon in 15 years apparently!
Her pull is very strong. Today I have finished my christmas shopping, wrapped aforementioned shopping, done food shopping, we have borught tree, got it home, decorated it, donw dishes, done washing, tidied up and now I am basking in the joy which is Greg Lake's I Believe In Father Christrmas

SuperBunny · 12/12/2008 18:15

Oh, I can't see the moon yet, but I love full moons. It looked good last night.

FrayedKnot · 12/12/2008 19:47

Boco I suppose the main thing is to keep her temp down as much as you can...if you gave the first lot of antibiotics last night (is that right?) I suppose they must take at least 24 hours to start having an effect, so perhaps not quite yet.

So temperature and breathing I think must be the key things. if you feel either of those things is getting out of control then phone the Dr.

Franny DH also out on a works do tonight.

I do remember last year and how worried you were.

I have dropped DH off so he can have a drink but I think he will be sensible

They must all be really scared of you Guad

Partners' work do's are terrible, aren't they.

At least when it's your own you KNOW who to avoid and who will be on for slipping outside for a crafty fag and a bit of gossip, whereas at partners' you always get cornered by Neil who is 45 and still lives with his parents and last had a girlfriend in 1982, while your DP is off having a whale of a time somehwere else.

I am going out tomorrow night, and next Fri and Sat...that's more than I usually go out in a whole year all rolled into one week

Christmas cards have been sort of written but have got nowhere near a post box yet...

And we have no decorations up or anything

FrayedKnot · 12/12/2008 19:48

I am not feeling the pull of the moon at all, FMF

FrannyandZooey · 12/12/2008 20:01

oh how funny i was getting kind of menstrual cramps a bit ago
i am amenorrheoic atm but usually aligned with moon as we have often discussed before, so I wonder if the big ol moon is doing something along those lines

dp is back, hurrah! smells of beer and thai food [urgh]

he seems to have behaved himself fairly well except for apparently telling Alex who sits near him that he was worried he was going to take him down the Greenwich tunnel and bum him

to which Alex replied "hmm, I haven't mentioned that I am gay have I"

dp suitably chastened but claims he was 'set up' and it was 'Alex's fault'

a fuckin gay moment i believe

OP posts:
FrannyandZooey · 12/12/2008 20:03

I mean fgs "bum him"

lordy

falling asleep on the station bench was better than that really

DasherDancerPrancerFMVixen · 12/12/2008 20:08

lol.

ds1 has a 10-yr-old boy's fasination with the concept of homosexuality at the moment.
He wanted to know why gay people ''all had funny voices and wore feather boas'' (based on 2 films he has seen recently with straight characters who are revealed as being gay...sigh, thank you Hollywood)
I told him that was cinematic nonsense as we had several gay friends and he wouldn't even know so there, as there wasn't a uniform!

He looked at me like and reeled off 3 of them (men and women)

My son has good gaydar

FrayedKnot · 12/12/2008 20:08

Glad DP is back unscathed in any way, Franny

There is no sign here of AF which is blinking well DUE

Are you sure you are not all lying about this 'ere moon?

There should be shooting stars though

FrannyandZooey · 12/12/2008 20:11

ah you see that would be the problem

alex wasn't wearing a feather boa

pinkspottywellies · 12/12/2008 20:12

Yes I think last year was less lame than that Franny!

We're going to one of dh's customer's Xmas do next week. Should be lovely. They're a couple our age and we all get on well - we've had them round for dinner and things.

Guad I can't believe you grabbed Sally from accounts by the hair, dragged her in the toilets, beat her up and flushed her head down the loo cause she had her tongue down dh's throat

FrannyandZooey · 12/12/2008 20:17

pineapple apple banana raisins
small cuc tom and pepper salad
peas and sweetcorn
2 satsumas

sounds just like yesterday but there was different things going with it

dp washing up in shuffly "i made an arse of myself at office party" manner

OP posts:
FrannyandZooey · 12/12/2008 20:18

plus could i just point out
i was in talk round up last week
no-one mentioned it

[pique]

pinkspottywellies · 12/12/2008 20:19

Right I need a vote ladies.

Do we start potty training tomorrow?

Reasons for: she's already pooing on the loo. We have a few days with not much on (except a wedding do late afternoon tomorrow but quite local and lots of kids and might use a pull up)

Reasons against: can't be bothered, 5 hour car journey a week on Wed to go to mum's for Christmas.

pinkspottywellies · 12/12/2008 20:20

Big salad for dinner and the other half of the avocado

VillageAunty · 12/12/2008 20:26

hmm, I'd be tempted to leave it til after christmas pink...witha 5 hour journey...

My house smells all lovely and piney - we have the tree up

VillageAunty · 12/12/2008 20:27

shite, sorry, thought I'd changed me name back....

pinkspottywellies · 12/12/2008 20:28

Who's villageaunty?

Only thing is after Christmas is getting closer to new baby and I'll be on my own more. DH has 3 weeks off.
