So the lump in my breast is sadly not a figment of my imagination.

i have been putting off going to the doctors about it, i cancelled appt twice then went and told her about other stuff instead
so i went yesterday, and she said yes there is a lump which is suspicious and neat?, now i am liking the neat bit but not really keen on suspicious.
so i have been refered to the hospital where steve had all his treatment, i will get an appointment within 2 weeks.
it is going to be a long two weeks i think.
does anyone know how long i will have to then wait for the results of the tests, will they tell me straight away?

thinking of you OJ, have only just seen this as have been off in rl, with lump issues of my own(currently awaiting biopsy results, almost as bad as the waiting for the initial appointment)

Has anyone heard from OJ yet?

I've had a couple of texts from OJ (she does know that I'm updating you all).

Basically, they have run tests and taken biopsies today and she's got to go back on Thursday for the results.

She is very sore (as you can imagine) and has had stitches. She is, "Feeling too rough for rum and coke!"

I'm sure that OJ will be back on here soon, with her very sore nork.

Oh LilRedWG, give my love to oj and tell her i am thinking of her and have everything crossed for her (including my eyes....not a good luck!! ) Hope she is ok.xxx

sorry to keep you all waiting i was a little tired and sore last night and the phone was quite busy.
went to hospital, my mate took me, it's fair to say i was nervous.
having phoned ahead to warn them of my latex allergy, imagine if you will my joy when we walked into the breast screening place to be greeted by a lovely display of pink breast cancer balloons
so legged it throu as quick as.... a quick thing.
had a doctor have a look at me, she sent me for a scan then to see the boob doctor.
boob doctor said he needed to take a sample of the lump so i had a local whilst he made a cut and whipped 2 bits out and then shoved some stitches and a dressing on, told me to rest for 24 hours and no lifting
he didnt offer to help with childcare thou
i need to go back on thursday afternoon for the results, i was disappointed cos i was expecting the results the same day, so now i just need to wait.

I don't get my results til monday, so it looks like my local hospital is a bit slower than yours.

The biopsy is really sore for a couple of days, so keep yourself dosed up on paracetamol
