For anyone who wants a boost to their general health. The suggested goals are:

EAT 10 PORTIONS OF FRUIT AND VEGETABLES EVERY DAY - if you don't usually eat much fruit and veg I would build up gradually or you could upset your digestion.

DO (AT LEAST) 10 MINUTES OF EXERCISE EVERY DAY - can be yoga, stretching or something more energetic. The plan is that the idea of doing 10 minutes is not too daunting, and having started you may well find you want to do more.

There are no restrictions on what you eat so long as you get your 10 fruit and veg as well. The focus is not on weight loss but on improving our energy levels and hopefully our general mood and well-being. Sign up below and post here to tell us how you're getting on and how you are feeling.

Basic guidance on what constitutes a portion of fruit and veg here and you can download more detailed information by following the link at the very bottom of the page.

you have to do the dashes around every word, not just around the phrase.

TooTicky · 15/10/2008 13:50

See, if you'd come to visit is, you'd be feeling totally chipper. Well, less bored.

Hello Daisy
The strike out thingy has to be done for each word.

Shall we kidnap Bero and make her stay? We would treat her kindly and feed her fruit and soup.

TooTicky · 15/10/2008 13:57

Is anybody here?

CollaredDove · 15/10/2008 14:04

I'm here TooT.

I am a regular from this thread but have namechanged because I wanted to vent briefly but it has to be anonymous.
May I?

I am not in love with dh and haven't been for years and now I am falling for somebody I can't have and it hurts. And it will hurt more and more, I know it. Sorry, I will go now.

OsmosisBOOnana · 15/10/2008 14:13

Oh bird. That's terrible. I wasn't allowed to be with DH either and (obv I'm incredibly stubborn) his ex made him finish our relationship.

I remember the pain so clearly it still makes me feel sick now.

Hope you find a way to deal with it.

OsmosisBOOnana · 15/10/2008 14:15

that's not helpful TooT!!!!! I have made soup and feel a bit better now. It is vegan in your honour. Have even started eying up the 2 rather uninspiring tomes I took out of the library.

How supermarkets stifle invention or some such bollocks.

OsmosisBOOnana · 15/10/2008 14:16

I'm having a little snivel for you CD.

OsmosisBOOnana · 15/10/2008 14:17

everyone's gone again.

guess I could make some pate.

CollaredDove · 15/10/2008 14:18

Should also say that he doesn't even know I like him. I just have to act all casual, all normal, all the time, wherever I am. Nobody I can talk to.
Thanks OB.

TooTicky · 15/10/2008 14:21

Blimey CD, that is hard. I am sorry.

OB, tell me about your soup. I have only eaten bourbon biscuits today.

OsmosisBOOnana · 15/10/2008 14:24

Have you felt like this about him for a while CD?

Soup is parsnip and apple with garam masala and ginger. Not a soup for DH. He has a deep mistrust of spices. Freak.

daisy99divine · 15/10/2008 14:26

Oh dear, CD, that sounds a really grim situation. Are you falling for New Man simply because he is not DH IYKWIM - not that it makes it any easier

OsBa - soup sounds lovely. I am eating apples again

Why don't you let Citilink go hang and visit TooT and feel better and collect phone from the depot on way home?

daisy99divine · 15/10/2008 14:26

apples

apples

more apples

daisy99divine · 15/10/2008 14:27

just practising the striking out thingy

not that I'm fed up with apples or anything

daisy99divine · 15/10/2008 14:28

what will the pate be like?

CollaredDove · 15/10/2008 14:28

No, it's all quite new and raw. Took me by surprise. He is wonderful. I don't make a habit of falling for random men. Wry .
Perhaps I'll just get over it. Ha.
Sorry to be a miseryguts.

OsmosisBOOnana · 15/10/2008 14:28

the depot is a v long way away. Possibly not even in Bristol IIRC.

Am going to see TooTShooT next week. When DH has no annoying jobs to bother me with. Ha! There are always annoying jobs.

daisy99divine · 15/10/2008 14:30

Oh poor OsBa - maybe you can take some pate and soup to TooT next week

Poor CD - wasn't suggesting you just fell for random men ... don't really know what to suggest

OsmosisBOOnana · 15/10/2008 14:31

smoked mackerel (eh? how do you spell Mackrel / mackarel / McRel??) with horseradish, lemon, nat yoghurt

I don't really know what to suggest CD. Daisy has a point, is it him you are falling for or 'not DH'? Is the situation with DH totally irretrievable?

daisy99divine · 15/10/2008 14:33

OOO Osba, can we have melba toast with it? Please

CollaredDove · 15/10/2008 14:33

Oh yes, irretrievable. Wouldn't want to try. At all.
I suppose they are very different from each other.
Oh, I don't know.
I know there's nothing I can do.

OsmosisBOOnana · 15/10/2008 14:34

Dagnamit, DD is awake. And I was having such a nice time on my own. ah well, a willing victim for my culinary experiments.

OsmosisBOOnana · 15/10/2008 14:35

Are you going to split up with him? Or is that not feasible?

Sorry to pry...

daisy99divine · 15/10/2008 14:38

Just doing nothing seems really awful, CD - if you don't want to patch up your differences (which I can understand) are you just stuck in limbo? - sorry that sounds very intrusive - hard to post sounding as empathetic and supportive as I meant to, IYKWIM

Osba - have visions of DD soon to be covered in soup and pate

OsmosisBOOnana · 15/10/2008 14:41

she has spurned my triumphant soup
