For anyone who wants a boost to their general health. The suggested goals are:

EAT 10 PORTIONS OF FRUIT AND VEGETABLES EVERY DAY - if you don't usually eat much fruit and veg I would build up gradually or you could upset your digestion.

DO (AT LEAST) 10 MINUTES OF EXERCISE EVERY DAY - can be yoga, stretching or something more energetic. The plan is that the idea of doing 10 minutes is not too daunting, and having started you may well find you want to do more.

There are no restrictions on what you eat so long as you get your 10 fruit and veg as well. The focus is not on weight loss but on improving our energy levels and hopefully our general mood and well-being. Sign up below and post here to tell us how you're getting on and how you are feeling.

Basic guidance on what constitutes a portion of fruit and veg here and you can download more detailed information by following the link at the very bottom of the page.

Daisy you wouldn't think I was 40 weeks if you saw me - I look about 12 weeks not 21!

Weather's miserable here. Bleurgh.

I had a top of ear piercing and my belly but it kept coming out when I'd put a bar in it and one day I lost the ball off the top so I gave up and took it out! I have 3 tattoos though (disclaimer: they're all very small)!

littlerach · 14/10/2008 15:19

Here I am OB

Nice to be missed actually.

I have my nose pierced, had it done when I was 18 and got my A Level results.
In fcat, dd2 was in a bit of a mood today and knowcked it out whilst trying to cling to me at school.
It Hurt.

My ILs arrive on thursday. WE go to Suffolk on Friday to stay in a cottage by the sea for 4 days.

Anyone know anytbing about flexi schooling? TooTicky, thought you might?

fumf · 14/10/2008 15:22

veg soup, an apple. Big salad last night.
Glum.
no reason, just cold and grey and stressed.

Hello LittleR!

I have no tattoos as i am certain I would pass out halfway through and end up with half a tattoo. A Tatt in fact

OsmosisBOOnana · 14/10/2008 15:47

That sounds very pleasing LittleR, hope the weather is nice.

I have been to a friend's house today who had quite bad PND and had to go into the mother and baby unit for a bit. Her DS is now 3.5 but it seems as though the medication has stopped working, she was really manic, like before we sussed she had PND. Poor ol' fruit. Will have to keep an eye on her.....

there is a digger outside my front window. DD keeps shouting 'noisy' at it.

fumf · 14/10/2008 15:50

I like Boonanana very much

Your poor friend...

OsmosisBOOnana · 14/10/2008 15:55

at least she knows the signs now though..... small mercies n all that.

TooTicky · 14/10/2008 16:48

LittleR, the possibilities depend very much on the headteacher. I'd ask on the Home Ed topic if I were you, there are some lovely and knowledgeable people there.

OB yes indeedy. Will you bring dd? We could go to the toddler group here (yeah I know, stimulating and then you could come for lunch and admire the chaos we call home. Do you have my phone number?

OsmosisBOOnana · 14/10/2008 18:05

cool, what time is toddler hell group? I have to drop SD at school.

Can you facebook me with your tel no? I guess directions may be of benefit too!

OsmosisBOOnana · 14/10/2008 18:10

I had a rather good snack today.

courgette ribbons, fried in a little butter with fresh chilli. Bung in a wrap with lots of pepper and parmesan.

Now I no longer have 5 courgettes looking at me woefully from the back of the fridge.

so

2 x courgettes

that's it. Very bad. haven't eaten much of anything though in fairness.

SuperBunny · 14/10/2008 18:17

I am going to a meet! I am going to Riven's house with LittleMyDancing and Charlotte121 and ILoveMyDog and maybe some others. I won't horrify them will I? [needy]

fumf · 14/10/2008 18:50

Oats and raisin cookies

I am going out to a christmas card workshop tonight. My, I have a wild social life, don't I?
To be fair, I am only going to support the friend who has organised it...
And it will stop me killing the dear children.

fumf · 14/10/2008 18:51

OB that's very brave.
I have no mental picture of those posters, except I know Riven seems very nice and charlotte is very young?

OsmosisBOOnana · 14/10/2008 18:51

you lunatic

OsmosisBOOnana · 14/10/2008 18:53

seems churlish not to really. Riven does seem very nice doesn't she. And i talk to Charlotte occasionally on student parents. Don't know much about t'others.

fumf · 14/10/2008 18:55

I know, but it is chucking down here so not much sky-clad shennanigans at fullmoon mansion tonight. I have a whole lot of energy and nowhere to put it. Those cards are going to be a sight to behold, aren't they?

SuperBunny · 14/10/2008 18:56

Sounds fun OB. fumf, my social life sometimes extends to crocheting with other mums on a sunday afternoon. I think you're wild, card making on a school-night

fumf · 14/10/2008 19:01
OsmosisBOOnana · 14/10/2008 19:04

my friend is setting up a stitch n bitch on Tuesdays, must be getting old as it seems appealing!

OsmosisBOOnana · 14/10/2008 19:05

lol! Do I give the impression of not being a craft fan? I am clearly without a wholesome bone in my body.

fumf · 14/10/2008 19:05

OB, have you just emailed me?

OsmosisBOOnana · 14/10/2008 19:08

Yes, was it the lack of wholesomeness that gave it away

Did I not sign it? What a muppet.

SuperBunny · 14/10/2008 19:10
