For anyone who wants a boost to their general health. The suggested goals are:

EAT 10 PORTIONS OF FRUIT AND VEGETABLES EVERY DAY - if you don't usually eat much fruit and veg I would build up gradually or you could upset your digestion.

DO (AT LEAST) 10 MINUTES OF EXERCISE EVERY DAY - can be yoga, stretching or something more energetic. The plan is that the idea of doing 10 minutes is not too daunting, and having started you may well find you want to do more.

There are no restrictions on what you eat so long as you get your 10 fruit and veg as well. The focus is not on weight loss but on improving our energy levels and hopefully our general mood and well-being. Sign up below and post here to tell us how you're getting on and how you are feeling.

Basic guidance on what constitutes a portion of fruit and veg here and you can download more detailed information by following the link at the very bottom of the page.

I know a Sunny, Ocean, Moon and Miacoda

All lovely childrne, all cousins

TigerFeet · 22/07/2008 13:34

No need to MamaG - I am so, so guilty of finding the cruelty funny. And I do so love a good Judge. And a grammar or spelling correction. (not of my own poorly constructed posts of course)

Arrrgghhhh to Atlas and Manon

They are not real names, surely?

Boco · 22/07/2008 13:34

Wow! Are they hippies? Moon? What is Miacoda? Sounds a bit pharmaceutical.

TigerFeet · 22/07/2008 13:35

Is Sunny a bright and even tempered child? It would be hilarious if she (she?) were prone to the most horrendous tantrums

Boco · 22/07/2008 13:35

Manon would be lovely on a little french girl, but on a little girl from Birmingham it's just a bit odd.

Guadalupe · 22/07/2008 13:41

My friend worked with some children that had very odd names, I forget what the starngest ones were but they were something like Awkward, Patience and another verby one.

Boco - I asked DD what that word was and she said it over and over with a furrowed thinking look on and then said, can't remember, it might have meant hello mummy but she will ask Caitlin the fairy queen today.

Boco · 22/07/2008 13:46

Well, I wont' tell the dds that she can't remember, they'd be very disappointed, they think she has granted them access to the key to fairyland with that word, they try to say it in the right way to make it work.

I taught a Summer. And my TA was Darling. We also had Candy and Randy (not related). But that was in the US. In England, I had Brittney and Whitney.

Have a lovely day.

OsmosisBanana · 22/07/2008 14:03

dAD USED oops to have a driver called Golden Delicious. He was enormous.

UnderRated · 22/07/2008 14:10

REally?

OsmosisBanana · 22/07/2008 14:18

T'was in Zambia. Many curiously named folk over there. They hear an english word they like the sound of and use it as a name..

My sister had a Pencil in her class and a Wednesday.

UnderRated · 22/07/2008 14:21

Oh that makes sense then and is ok, I think. Darling was from Nigeria. Her sister was Precious. I quite like Golden Delicious.

MamaG · 22/07/2008 14:23

Sunny is quite moody actually! Ocean (boy) really suits his name, he's always on the move. Moon is quite a pensive girl so again she suits it. Miacoda does sound a bit like a brand of contraceptive pill doesn't it?

They are complete 100% hippies. Lovely family (live next door but one to me)

OsmosisBanana · 22/07/2008 14:26

A friends DD is called Seren. It's short for Serendipity. Hippies. Everywhere.

SD's brother is called Ziggy.....

MamaG · 22/07/2008 14:31

Seren is lovely

UnderRated · 22/07/2008 14:32

Serendipity is a lovely name. I know 6 yr old twins, Van and Elvis. Not hippyish but a bit to some

womblingalong · 22/07/2008 14:53

Afternoon Veggers,

Oh I am so jealous of your festival Boco, it sounds lovely. I have been to Galstonbury, years agao, just after I got married, and it was lovely (except for the toilets). I am afraid, I don't do not being clean for days on end though, so I used to get a bucket of cold water and have a 'wash' in the porch of the tent, every day. I even washed my hair! On the last day I found the kids area and the shower block - I remember being gutted!

Latitude sounds fab, as does Womad. FMF, what would be your recommendation on festivals? Which would be your preferred one?

Sorry to hear DS is not well Lully, neither are my two, they both have high temperatures, and want lots of cuddling. I am at work unfortunately, and my PIL are looking after them at home. I couldn't take the day off as I had an important meeting that was cancelled 10 minutews before I set off for it
