For anyone who wants a boost to their general health. The suggested goals are:

EAT 10 PORTIONS OF FRUIT AND VEGETABLES EVERY DAY - if you don't usually eat much fruit and veg I would build up gradually or you could upset your digestion.

DO (AT LEAST) 10 MINUTES OF EXERCISE EVERY DAY - can be yoga, stretching or something more energetic. The plan is that the idea of doing 10 minutes is not too daunting, and having started you may well find you want to do more.

There are no restrictions on what you eat so long as you get your 10 fruit and veg as well. The focus is not on weight loss but on improving our energy levels and hopefully our general mood and well-being. Sign up below and post here to tell us how you're getting on and how you are feeling.

Basic guidance on what constitutes a portion of fruit and veg here and you can download more detailed information by following the link at the very bottom of the page

Yes, I was wondering if that's what people would do.

I had no idea it was illegal. It seems odd to be.

Anyway night all, I must be off too.

I spent my yoof nr Bracknell, TigerFeet. It's a very classy area. And with such good company, I'm sure you'll have a whale of a time

My rent has gone up too, Toot, by about the same amount. But when I couldn't afford the rent before, it doesn't really make any difference.

Boco, I wouldn't worry about unauthorised absence at this point in the school yr. As a teacher, it is really annoying when people take their children out of school for something and then complain that they missed out on a trip or something important that I couldn't re-teach just for their DC's benefit but they won't be doing anything vital now, will they? If it is a one-off and not something you do all the time, nothing will happen. If it happened several times a term, they would start to wonder what is going on. If your kids have good attendance otherwise, I wouldn't worry. If you really want to appease the head, you can offer to do the work DD'll miss at home. But that'll probably piss the teacher off because she'll have to organise it all. Just take DD and have fun.

Bero, I think the sandpit by the road would put me off LK1. And I like the idea of a garden too. And the teacher said nice things. So, I'd be inclined to go for LK2 but I haven't seen either of them so don't really know.

I know nothing about Ladyboys

Bananas (2)
Blueberries
Raspberries
Lentil Loaf (2)
salad from the garden (1.5)
Orange Juice

8.5-ish

FrannyandZooey · 10/07/2008 08:13

strawbers, raspbers, grapes, raisins, orange juice = 5

Morning!

TooT I am not going to say what I think of your landlord, but very

Bero I think sandpit near the road would make me twitchy (even if they are supervised)

Ooh I am annoyed I missed the freebirthing programme. Maybe it will be repeated. I am reading a birth history book atm which is very interesting.

Franny at least you know what to expect with a sweep then. Opening thoughts on Sunday afternoon would be fine, then you could have the baby on Monday (my prediction )

FrannyandZooey · 10/07/2008 08:31

sweep Monday afternoon Tatties (I keep feeling like a chimney every time I say that) so baby arriving on Tuesday about teatime I would hope
just in time for a nice slice of cake and a muffin

I had a show in early labour with ds1
Never had one with ds2.
Ooooooooh

After dropping ds1 off this morning I went to LK1 and went slowly and rather stalkerishly past (to look at the road etc.), then someone saw me and so I had to stop and ask, having wanted to phone really. Teacher explained how they do it wrt safety and it was actually quite convincing, pls the strret itself is very quiet and residential, but there's the ring-road tunnel nearby and I couldn't help noticing that the traffic noise is a constant background - not deafening by any means but intrusive. I also noticed that the teacher, alhough lovely, talked rather LOUDLY and LOTS, and remembered that I'd noticed it yesterday too and felt vaguely mithered by it - but love had been blind Before picking ds1 up I'm going to skulk past LK2 and check I like it (also need to check the route - it will take longer than to LK1 although it is nearer as the crow flies, but I'd like to know really whether it's just a bit longer or significantly), and then, I think, LK2 it is. Nobody say I don't do these things thoroughly

berolina · 10/07/2008 10:44

Oh, I ran into a colleague on the way to drop off ds1. She asked me if I was going in - with two children in tow . Twas an uncomfortable reminder of the fact that I will have to go back soon. Only 2.5 days but still. It's 25th Aug and I don't waaaaant to I need to vocation my way out of there.

berolina · 10/07/2008 11:34

beans on sunflower-seed toast, apricot, 2 yellow plums

TooTicky · 10/07/2008 11:34

Ooh, a show!! I never had a show with any of mine.
I did wonder if the birth may synchronise with the collective period.....

TooTicky · 10/07/2008 11:36

Bero, I have a good feeling about LK2. Not that I have actually seen either of them
