REST IN PEACE STEVE -from all your mumsnet friends

Steve died at 10.30 in Jo's arms where he belonged.

I have spoken to her & she asked me to let you all know. Her dear friend Tracey is with her.

God he put up a good fight & I for one feel honored to have known him & his family.

Thankyou all for your lovely words i am sure when i get time to read them all they will bring some comfort.
i was pleased that i was able to be with steve when he died andi think in true steve style he did it when the kids were at school to save them the pain.
It has as you can imagine been a difficult day but we have been surrounded by people who care for us.
Debbie our Mac nurse has been here most of the day and sat with me whilst i told the kids, it was the hardest thing to have to tell them and there were lots of tears the kids mine and debbies.
tracey was here when steve died and has been here all day, she is sleeping over tonight.
Debbie informed steves family but not until 2.30 when he went to the chapel of rest as i didn't want them turning up here en mass.
i haven't heard from steves family, but the kids social worker had MIL vist his office this morning but he was out, i wonder what she is playing at.
i spent some timelaying on steves day today it was odd without him in it.

The next few days will be hard, but we are all here in RL and in spirit sending you and the children all the support you could possibly need and more.

I hope you are able to get some rest tonight.

Just wanted to say I'm so pleased you were with him at at the end of his life.
Though he will be with you ever in your conversation and thoughts forever.

Oh, OJ, So sad for yur loss. His spirit will shine on in you and your children, that is one hell of a legacy. Please let us know if there is anything we can do for you at this time

Steve, you are now free from pain and disease. Your heart is still with those you had to leave behind. Peace and strength to you as your new journey begins

Oh love, thankyou for taking the time to post - we are all posting our support in the hope that you will get some comfort from it, if not now, sometime, when you need it.

You owe steve's family NOTHING, you move on my love, they can't hurt you.
