Steve died at 10.30 in Jo's arms where he belonged.

I have spoken to her & she asked me to let you all know. Her dear friend Tracey is with her.

God he put up a good fight & I for one feel honored to have known him & his family.

So sorry to hear of Steve's death. OJ I am so delighted that you spent the last few months and especially the weekend 'making memories' - they will be a great comfort to you in the future. To be able to tell someone how much you love them before they die is just the greatest thing a human being can ever do. Holding you in my thoughts and heart.

OrmIrian · 09/06/2008 11:33

So sorry

nell12 · 09/06/2008 11:33

Rest in peace Steve... I thought it would happen today.

What a brave man to keep on going through the girls' birthdays and "Father'S Day"

You and your family are a shining example of love to us all.

Psychomum5 · 09/06/2008 11:33

all my thoughts and prayers are with you, each of you, at this sad time.

your love carried him on this fight, and his love will live on in your hearts and memories.

Jo, you have shown such courage these past months, now let your friends carry you and your wonderful children.

sending all my love and strength for you now. xxxx

Mamazon · 09/06/2008 11:33

i actually felt a shudder and then a tear when i read this OP.

I have tried not to intrude on Oj's threads as i didn't "know" her or Steve and didn't wish to appear a grief tourist.
but i have skimmed through for updates and i am aware of what has happened.

I am very very glad that Steve is now free from pain.

I am wishing OJ the conitued strength and dignity that she has shown throughout this period. both she and her family are inspirational.

I may not have known you, but my life has been touched by you, and for that i am gratefull

Nbg · 09/06/2008 11:33

My thoughts are with you all.

An amazing family.

I am an atheist but I believe in the spirit. I believe that our bodies are merely a vessel that contains the true essence of us, and when our bodies are no longer capable of holding our spirit then our spirit is freed to a different place.

I believe that in his strength Steve held on for his girls' birthday.

I believe in your strength and that you can get through this and I believe that you are amazing.

Strength and love to all those who are left behind.

aznerak · 09/06/2008 11:34

No words can express what I would like to say. I rarely post but i would like to say that you are one of the most inspirational people I have ever 'met' and you have genuinely changed my outlook on life after reading about your dedication, commitment and unbelievable love and strength.

Rest in peace Steve and wishing OJ and the children lots of love and hugs x x x

MargaretMountford · 09/06/2008 11:35
