OJ, there are no words that can be said to ease the pain that and your children will be feeling at the loss of Steve. Just know that you are in our thoughts and prayers and that you will carry Steve in your hearts and minds forever. Am just so sorry x

Heated · 09/06/2008 15:42

Steve's life is a testament to the strength of love. Steve fought to be here for the girls' birthdays, for father's day and at the end was with the woman he loves, because of OJ and her love for him.

May Steve rest in peace and love xx

WrongSideOfTwenty · 09/06/2008 15:49

So sorry for your loss. Rest in peace Steve, you are now free from pain. He showed such strength throughout and hopefully you will gain comfort that Steve hung on for the girls birthday and for father's day yesterday.

Sending love to you and your children. Thinking of you all.

stepfordwife · 09/06/2008 16:33

OJ, i'm so sorry. love to you and your family.
the only thing you're prepared for when someone dies is how unprepared you feel, isn't it?
if steve had to die, he had the peace of dying at home in your arms. nothing really helps at a time like this, but steve will always be part of your family - a husband, soul mate and dad.

nearly 10 years after my dad's death, he's still part of our family. no, it's not the same, but love doesn't die too.
thinking of you x

LuckySalem · 09/06/2008 16:35

libralady · 09/06/2008 17:06

I've only posted a couple of times, but have kept uptodate with the thread.

I couldn't let Steve's passing go uncommented on though.

Jo you have been extremely brave and inspirational with everything you have had to contend with. Your children are a credit to both you and Steve and it was wonderful that he held on for their birthdays and your special father's day yesterday.

Steve is now in a better place and free from pain. He will be watching over you all.

You are a strong woman Jo, and although you knew this day would come, it will still have shaken your system. Please take your time to grieve properly.

My love and prayers go to you and your family in this distressing and difficult time.

xx
