OJ - your strength is amazing, I know what a hard time this must be for you and kids. My thoughts and prayers are with you and your family and I wish Steve a peaceful passing knowing those who love him the most are by his side.

fryalot · 09/06/2008 10:31

morning oj

harpsichordcarrier · 09/06/2008 10:34

I am sorry but your post about Jury Service made me laugh
sending love as always HC xx

NotABanana · 09/06/2008 11:02

OJ

Ring the jury people and say you cna't do it. I got out of it by telling them I had moved since they called me. They will definitely excuse you.

Have you lined up some friends to be with you tonight in case Mike comes? You can't be on your own with him.

The tears are very sad, but also a sign of how much he loves you all and doesn't want to leave you, imho.

X

Write as soon as you can back to the Court requesting tob e excuse from Jury Service as your dh is terminally ill (do you have a copy of soemtihng "official", eg from the hopsice consultant that shows how imminent it is) and that you have three disabled chidlren to look after.

I worte back for something much less trivial: exempted for part of year anyway as within 5 years over previous service and then would have been heavily pregnant and thereafter breastfeeding - for which they would need to find facilites to express and then store EBM. For some reason they never got back to me!

Your reasons are far more compelling.

Thinking of you every day, and like everyone esle, am in awe of the way that you have maintained your dignity in these difficult times.

I'm so sorry OJ. Love to you and your lovely children. No death is a good death - but I know from reading these threads that you gave Steve the best death possible. He was surrounded by his family and love - so much love - until his final minute.

TimeForMe · 09/06/2008 11:18

Buda · 09/06/2008 11:21

Does anyone think we should start a thread saying that Steve has passed away? Just to let people know and to avoid people coming on here with something lighthearted or whatever?

Rest in Peace Steve.
