For Steve

For oj

Quick! What do the girls like?

Is this ok? I think you said one of them liked to watch it.

Is that everyone sorted?

Not forgetting the carers!

Thanks all.
Wiltedrose, glad you got the card even gladder it made you smile

i was upset last night after reading another thread which i probably took too personally, i spoke to Bossy on Msn which help me a lot, LGJ that might explain why bossy said what she said on this thread last night i knew what she meant but obviously you didn't know that.

Steve had a settled night, very chesty this morning so they have started him on the buscopan which will help to dry his chest up and prevent infections.
i have been concerned about a hard lump all down the right side of steves neck, DNs think it is a mass spreading down from his brain it doesn't seem to be bothering steve he looks comfy thou his skin tone is a bluish purple.
today is a no vistors day well apart from the DNs and some mates tonight.
i have a meeting at school this afternoon which i had to cancel the other week as it was when MIL was coming.
it is elliots first yearly review at this school and i want to go cos i know it will be a lovely meeting and i will hear lots of lovely things about him, his school report made me cry cos it was so very lovely and just from reading it i could very easily pick up how much the staff know and enjoy having elliot with them.

NotABanana · 04/06/2008 11:33

I hope you are okay, OJ.

Good luck with the meeting, I am sure all will be fantastic.

I hope the lump isn't causing Steve any pain.

Thinking of you. x

ILikeToMoveItMoveIt · 04/06/2008 11:35

Morning OJ, I think I know the thread you are talking about. Please ignore it, I really don't think it was aimed at anyone in particular, however it was a badly phrased thread and very insenstive. I really can't believe some people can be so crass.

As always, much love and strength to all of you xx

SlartyBartFast · 04/06/2008 11:37

it is so good to hear good thigns about our children isnt it

Buda · 04/06/2008 11:39

Hi OJ

Glad you have posted. Am sorry you were upset by anthing on here - I suspect I know what thread. Some people just don't think. Glad you had Bossy to vent to though.

Sorry to hear you have extra worries about Steve but glad to hear that he seems comfortable.

Enjoy your meeting today. Am sure you will hear lots of good things about Elliot and will come out with a warm glow and can go and tell Steve.

x

chutneymary · 04/06/2008 11:45

Aw OJ, I read some of that thread and it was vile. I am glad bossy was a good sounding board.

Sorry to hear about Steve's neck but hope he remains comfortable.

Hope you hear lots of lovely things about E - our children are reflections of us as parents in so many ways so it is obvious looking at you and Steve that they will have great things to say about him.

Much love XXXX

chocaholic73 · 04/06/2008 11:57

Hope you enjoy your school meeting, it sounds like you will and I think it will be good for you too! Sorry about your worries about Steve, but at least he seems comfy. Also sorry about you being upset about something on mn. Wishing you a good afternoon.

mummylin2495 · 04/06/2008 12:01

Oj i am sorry you have had more upset ,this time from the very place where most of us are trying to ease your anguish. Its only a couple of people so best to ignore them, I am glad that you still have your Steve with you ,im sure its the power of your love that has kept him here.I can only say again ,what a wonderful person you are.x

NotABanana · 04/06/2008 12:08

OJ, if it was anything I did, sorry.

mistypeaks · 04/06/2008 12:08

Hi OJ, just a quick message to say thinking of you. I'm glad you've got a nice meeting to go to. Of course the school will enjoy having E there. He and the girls are obviously going to be gorgeous lovely children, because they've got gorgeous lovely parents xx

NAB you haven't done anything to upset me, i was just a bit sensitive last night when i read that thread.
well steve is still settled and his colour looks better too
i am off to school and will i am sure be very proud and probably tearful too, then i will come home and tell steve what they have said cos i know he would be proud too.

NotABanana · 04/06/2008 13:17

Hurray for Steve's colour and being settled.

Enjoy being proud

Tickle · 04/06/2008 13:29

Ah, hope you and Steve can have a lovely evening, glowing after the meeting with Elliot's school

lilibet · 04/06/2008 13:47

Before I had children I could never had realised the sheer joy that comes from someone saying something nice about your child.

I couldn't take photos for crying at a football presentation recently when the coach described ds2 as 'a very special little boy'.

Enjoy the meeting with the teachers oj

MargaretMountford · 04/06/2008 13:49

I agree so much with that lilibet - if anyone says something nice about ds I just find myself filled with a big glow..
am sure OJ will be beaming
