For anyone who wants a boost to their general health. The suggested goals are:

EAT 10 PORTIONS OF FRUIT AND VEGETABLES EVERY DAY - if you don't usually eat much fruit and veg I would build up gradually or you could upset your digestion.

DO (AT LEAST) 10 MINUTES OF EXERCISE EVERY DAY - can be yoga, stretching or something more energetic. The plan is that the idea of doing 10 minutes is not too daunting, and having started you may well find you want to do more.

There are no restrictions on what you eat so long as you get your 10 fruit and veg as well. The focus is not on weight loss but on improving our energy levels and hopefully our general mood and well-being. Sign up below and post here to tell us how you're getting on and how you are feeling.

Basic guidance on what constitutes a portion of fruit and veg here and you can download more detailed information by following the link at the very bottom of the page

Of course it will just drop off Franny, esp with the bfing!

FrannyandZooey · 27/05/2008 22:10

yes I'll just wake up in the morning after giving birth and all the cake and cheese will be there in a big pile on the floor won't it
I will drift ethereally into my size 8 jeans like none of this ever happened

franny I put on 4.5 stone with each of DS and DD. Mostly it has come off (although for some reason I have put more weight on since DD was about 1, but yours will disappear like this)

Poooooof

UnderRated · 27/05/2008 22:12

Yes, the weight will fly off, Franny. Mine did. But I only put on 5.5 kg so I may not be a typical example.

Thank you for all your support. I do have friends. And family but they are in the UK. So, I do have some support. But all I want is to be a mummy to my little boy while he grows up. Anyway, I am going to enjoy the next couple of weeks with him and fret again when the time comes.

UnderRated · 27/05/2008 22:15

Idris, that is exactly what happened to me. I took DS back to the hospital at 4 days old and I wore my size 8 jeans. I now weigh more than I did when I was 37 weeks pg

IdrisTheDragon · 27/05/2008 22:16

Franny I may have interest in the size 10 shoes (or DS may as his feet are that size)

MrsCarrot · 27/05/2008 22:16

can you run away

MrsCarrot · 27/05/2008 22:17

sorry, just tried to stop that posting but was too late

sorry if inappropriate

IdrisTheDragon · 27/05/2008 22:17

I'm not sure what I do weigh now but I keep needing to have bigger clothes so I assume there is more of me. DH is happy that my breasts have grown though...

UnderRated · 27/05/2008 22:18

Are you asking me, MrsC? I'd be in a huge amount of trouble if I did that. Ex is very paranoid it will happen. I have no idea why though because I have only ever done what I am legally allowed to do.

IdrisTheDragon · 27/05/2008 22:18

I don't weigh as much as I did when at my height of pregnancy though.

MrsCarrot · 27/05/2008 22:19

that's why I regretted it straightaway, UR

shall I have it deleted

sorry

MrsCarrot · 27/05/2008 22:20

I'm not surprised he is paranoid though

I don't know what I'd do

I don't think you need to get it deleted, MrsC. I couldn't run away with DS. But of course, it is something people suggest/ consider/ wonder about. It's the obvious thing to do in desperate times, isn't it? But the ramifications would be terrible. It just wouldn't be worth it.

MrsCarrot · 27/05/2008 22:27

Yes, I guess so.

I just want to scoop you both up and bring you here.

UnderRated · 27/05/2008 22:31

I would happily be scooped up and taken anywhere. Anyone who thinks that the US has a modern and fair justice system is very much mistaken. I would never chose to live here.

FrayedKnot · 27/05/2008 22:36

No wonder he is paranoid UR since he appears to be giving you very few options.

You sound as though you are being very strong doing what you must do rather than what you probably instinctively want to do.

I didn;t have salad today. The salads sound magnificent.

MrsCarrot · 27/05/2008 22:36

doesn't the fact that he can choose to come with you count for anything?

I don't understand it.

FrayedKnot · 27/05/2008 22:37

Sorry, actually, how about no options.

MrsCarrot · 27/05/2008 22:37

the salads do sound good don't they

UnderRated · 27/05/2008 22:39

No, it counts for nothing. Because he wants to stay here. And DS has dual citizenship. And it is very frustrating that the obvious solution is for all of us to go back to the UK where we can all work etc. But No, he won't do that. And the courts think that is quite reasonable. I really should not be typing all this. I need to stop now. Sorry.

Salads do sound delicious.

berolina · 27/05/2008 22:42

oh, UR, UR

Is there any chance of challenging this in a UK court? I have no legal knowledge, but this sounds hideous.

You want to stop. I'm sorry for asking another question. petrovafossil a t gmx d o t de if you want to vent.

MrsCarrot · 27/05/2008 22:42

don't be sorry

we have pestered you but only out of concern and futile wishes to help.

I don't know what to say really.

TigerFeet · 27/05/2008 22:57

UR

What a crock of shit

I'm sure you have thought through it all and sought advice etc and we are new to this and just throwing ideas around that you have already considered I'm sure.

We are all desperate to find a magic cure for you

Are you not allowed to work in the US?
