Ok so I’ve been having symptoms for years now and been tested for all kinds of things via bloods, stool and urine samples. The only thing that came back positive was low vitD which I’ve been taking daily for months and still don’t feel any better. I’ve got a tugging type sensation in my lower tummy either side of my hips as well as the following symptoms; Headache
Nausea
Severe back/ hip pain
Rash on face & under breast & chest & arm, back of knees on hips and eyes
Bowl issues
Dry sore bloodshot eyes with rash on eyelids
Phlegm
Depression
Anxiety
Fast/ irregular heartbeat
heavy, irregular periods 2 x per month
Pain under right side ribs
Heavy legs
Mouth ulcers
Bruise easily
Dry nose with scabs
Dry sore lips
Random body twitches
Toenails peeling off
Brittle fingernails
Dry hair
Twitch under right eye
Acotites- swollen tummy
Fatigue
Aching joints
I’m at my whits end! The fatigue is the worst. I’ve had to give up work. I wake up exhausted and I’m struggling to carry out daily tasks. Even climbing the stairs hurts! I’ve asked for a gyno referral but apart from that I think they have ruled out everything else. I’m 37 so poss peri menapause but the test they did came back negative for that too! Does anyone else have these symptoms and what was your diagnosis? Thanks

It is. Ive said that. What is your point?

Heavens
I was just asking because I don’t see how you can parent four children without basically another adult living you and if you did….

and then I was going to ask how supportive your partner is

hoe have your family and friends expressed that they think you’re exaggerating?

What’s your excuse then?

It isn't rude to call someone out on their own rudeness. People are trying to help you and you are throwing it back in their faces.

Good luck getting help from the medical profession though if you speak to them the way you've been speaking to us.

Anyway, you'll be pleased to hear I'm done with this thread now.

op I think you need to pause and reread

I was asking if you had someone living with you because from you’ve described, I can’t see how you could parent four children

and you mentioned your family and friends ds were skeptical and I was asking how they have expressed this?

I wasn’t making any judgement on your situation. At all

RedRosesPinkLilies · 29/03/2025 18:26

@BexAubs20 you never apologised
In any case the swollen tummy is the symptom. Ascites is a sign. If you really think you have that, hurry back to your GP as you possibly have a terminal diagnosis and need urgent treatment

EwwSprouts · 29/03/2025 18:27

Parathyroid needs a different test to your thyroid as it's a different organ. Lot of symptoms match with those you listed.

Missmarie87 · 29/03/2025 18:36

I’ve had alot of these symptoms and currently having so much pain in my back and everything is negative! I feel there is more tests they can do but they just don’t!! I know there is something not right but it’s like I’m constantly trying to get heard by doctor! It’s a nightmare I’ve given up!

ALSORAN931 · 29/03/2025 18:39

I have fibromyalgia, took years for them to actually give me a diagnosis. I'm 43 now and the problems started when I was 18. Most of those symptoms I have had to learn to live with and it ain't no party! Fibro could explain away all the other symptoms you are experiencing (I've not had all of yours but most) it runs the body down so it's absolutely plausible the other symptoms are a branch symptom of fibromyalgia. Tell your doc if that's what it is then you want a proper diagnosis. Don't let them fob you off. Far too many folk still don't understand the devastating impact it has on many. I've been housebound and mostly bedbound for over 5 years. I'm in agony from head to toe on a daily basis. I hope it's much simpler in your case cos I wouldn't wish my existence on anyone. Good luck and keep pushing for a firm diagnosis.

More often than not it will help with energy levels. As will a healthy diet.

Graded exercise is no longer recommended for fatigue, it can and has done more harm than good for some people

Furnacefield · 29/03/2025 18:42

I had a lot of these symptoms, tested negative for cealiac, but gave up gluten and they all went away! 2 years on and symptoms only resurface if I accidentally gluten myself, most noticeable being the face rash, swolen tummy and fatigue

Matildalamp · 29/03/2025 18:42

I haven’t read the full thread but have you considered or has anyone suggested Cushing’s Disease. Over production of cortisol in your body due to a tumour on the pituitary or adrenal gland. In the vast majority of cases tumour is benign.

ImagineImagine · 29/03/2025 18:43

Just what I was going to say. I have coeliac and I’m hypothyroid too and have had many of these symptoms before diagnosis. If you’ve not had these tests OP, ask for them.

worldwidetravel2017 · 29/03/2025 18:44

They said im not celiac but ive reduced gluten 4 a few reasons and it helps

Kayakerpaddleboarder · 29/03/2025 18:46

Have you had your B12 levels checked? Everything you describe can be attributed to low levels of this vitamin.

paulapantaloons · 29/03/2025 18:47

If you had a spica cast as a baby you had or still have hip dysplasia. We are 15 years into it with my daughter, she suffers with lots of pains elsewhere due to overcompensating when walking. Knees, back, feet, pelvis etc. it all causes pain.
for some it goes away once treated and can return in teenage and older years.
might be worth looking into a hip xray.

katepilar · 29/03/2025 18:51

Have you tried eating gluten free diet? And/or leave out milk?

TiredAH · 29/03/2025 18:54

Unfortunately almost half of UK population has vitamin D deficiency. We see the sun every 34weeks (being optimistic and sarcastic here😉)
Those with darkest skin have even more trouble keeping it up (myself for example. I grew up under the Spanish sun, and my skin tone is currently “chalk”)
But just vitD deficiency does not explain all those symptoms.
I’d be inclined to look and research about fibromyalgia, and depending on your age peri or menopause.
I told my Gp once: “please, don’t tell me I’m fat, anxious or hormonal unless you have a clinical reason…” and luckily he’s a good guy, so he only brought up peri once, with a justified reason.

Keep advocating for yourself, change gp. You deserve to be heard and treated accordingly.

Houseofteenbots · 29/03/2025 18:55

Could it be pituitary condition/Endocrine related such as cushings disease or Addison disease? All your symptoms certainly fit. It might be worth contacting the GP again. Or for more help and advice contact the pituitary foundation helpline or the pituitary foundation nurse helpline they are amazing

Pinkproseccolady · 29/03/2025 18:56

Have you had a CT or a PET scan?

Onlywhenilaff · 29/03/2025 18:59

Not wanting to minimise anything but I had almost all these symptoms at the same age, after a very stressful period. I went to the doctor again and again and was told it was stress. I also had a three year old, stressful job and a 6 year old.

Mine was diagnosed as anxiety. I did not believe it for a second, I wasn’t that person. A few years later and it was probably a major dip in hormones and anxiety, possibly caused by the same thing. I was in survival mode for a long time, dealing with extraordinary levels of stress and I’m way out of it now.

The first thing I did was probiotics. Eventually I have started exercising again, I try and keep balanced and take vitamins. I’m almost normal now. Or as close as I was before.
