Anyone else got this virus, and what is it?

DH been poorly off and on for about 2 weeks. Temperatures, body aches, chesty coughing fits but not bringing stuff up, stuffy nose, very tired. He’ll perk up for a day or so and then dip again. GP says chest clear. Wondering if it’s flu. He did have flu jab in October though. Any ideas?

The illness has cleared but the pain remains. Feels like I’ve been run over; mainlining paracetamol and ibuprofen in rotation is the only thing keeping my head above water, it’s awful.

Coming up for 5 weeks now and still have snottyness, headaches and irritating cough when walking outside in the cold.

One week ago today I came home early as I developed I high temp suddenly after coughing for a few days. It’s been a straight week of flu symptoms, horrendous coughing, body aches, severe chills where you can’t stop shaking, fatigue, dizziness etc. Thursday I went to the GP as my chest sounded like someone had poured popping candy into it - antibiotics for chest infection. Last day of those today and my chest is still wheezing and cracking. I keep randomly wanting to sleep and I’ve got a constant low grade headache.
Have requested a sick paper but I’ve got so many emails to get through in work. Just looking through those earlier exhausted me.
I have passed this onto my adult DD and DH and they are struggling with fevers and coughing. It’s a horrible illness, we’re all desperate to feel well again.
