For anyone who wants a boost to their general health. The suggested goals are:

EAT 10 PORTIONS OF FRUIT AND VEGETABLES EVERY DAY - if you don't usually eat much fruit and veg I would build up gradually or you could upset your digestion.

DO (AT LEAST) 10 MINUTES OF EXERCISE EVERY DAY - can be yoga, stretching or something more energetic. The plan is that the idea of doing 10 minutes is not too daunting, and having started you may well find you want to do more.

There are no restrictions on what you eat so long as you get your 10 fruit and veg as well. The focus is not on weight loss but on improving our energy levels and hopefully our general mood and well-being. Sign up below and post here to tell us how you're getting on and how you are feeling.

Basic guidance on what constitutes a portion of fruit and veg here and you can download more detailed information by following the link at the very bottom of the page

oh I don't know
not brown and another kind of brown, though

I think you are feminine because you are small and fine featured
not in a nail varnish and lingerie way

avi i hope the gp goes ok for you

and i agree with the idea that im just not likely to get pregnant

i dont really feel like going back to the gp tbh

there isnt much point really i dont know why i went in the first place

toot you are beautiful by the way

Tatties · 07/05/2008 17:09

Franny I like those shoes!
I had red suede pixie boots when I was wee

TooT and Wombling what awful experiences

Stuffit I am not normally given to discussing bottom issues but I often get the shooting pains thingy and notice differences in that area during my period. Things like that never get talked about do they, I just thought it was all part of the experience

Bero I am loving all your botanics talk! It sounds like a wonderful place. Ds and I have been thoroughly enjoying the beautiful weather, just pottering around the garden and sowing seeds

Boco · 07/05/2008 17:38

Dd2 came home from pre-school with a huge blue bump on he head, it's really sticky outy. She refuses to tell me what happened or how or even if anyone else noticed. And then on the way home from taking dd to rainbows she walked into a drainpipe, and then tripped over her feet. She has grazed elbows and knees. I'm hoping dp has some idea what happened as it was him who picked her up.

TooTicky · 07/05/2008 18:04

Goodness Boco, how odd Hope you get to the bottom of it. Does she have a lot of accidents? I find my dcs have clumsy phases/days when things keep happening to them.

ahundredtimes · 07/05/2008 18:07

Oh no. Is it the Fin?

How is everyone. I like your shoes Franny. I was inspired by a summer clothes thread to buy shoes, and well, summer clothes. I might. I'm terrible at summer clothes. It doesn't work.

I have eaten some things, mostly ice cream.

stuffitall · 07/05/2008 18:08

I like the shoes, coloured groovy shoes are great. You can wear everything else dull as ditchwater (im sure you don't) and everyone still thinks, doesn't she look great.

Toot you are a nosh.

Is dd2 ok now Boco? She's not fallng over now because she's dizzy from first bump or anything?

Thankyou Tatties for sympathy, I think Boco's right and it can be mild and lived with. (if it is the E word)

ahundredtimes · 07/05/2008 18:09

TooT I have to say on the strength of that photo, you are divine. I can't bear it if you don't think so.

ahundredtimes · 07/05/2008 18:10

Zippi. Well there was a reason you went in the first place, even it is one of those vague, worrying indefinite reasons. Which means you want to talk to someone. So perhaps okay to find someone else?

Boco · 07/05/2008 18:10

100 did you see the bit where Bee told a newcomer that you once ate a whole wheel of brie and drank a litre of coffee on the way to school?

Wasn't the fin as she is at the baptist toddler group, unless she's doing random attacks at other pre-school venues. Maybe. Dp home and apparently the pre-school had no idea how it happened, she didn't cry, they witnessed no accidents - it is massive - how did it happen?

ahundredtimes · 07/05/2008 18:11

What else was there?

Oh, I know. DD's room looks ruddy lovely. I take it back. It does look nice, and a very good colour.

ahundredtimes · 07/05/2008 18:12

But SURELY they must have seen it when she was there? Even if they didn't witness the accident?

It sounds like a falling over or being hit with a toy truck bang. If it's one of those eggy blue ones on the forehead? is it?

ahundredtimes · 07/05/2008 18:13

SHE holds the answer though. I wonder why she won't tell you?

FrannyandZooey · 07/05/2008 18:17

do you think she might feel silly because she fell over / walked into something and thinks it was her fault or whatever?

it isn't necessarily sinister, is it
but I would jolly well want to know

if she did it privately and embarrassedly told no=one the lump may not have come up noticeably while she was there

OP posts:
ahundredtimes · 07/05/2008 18:17

Franny, get the kid to talk.

FrannyandZooey · 07/05/2008 18:29

wanna try on my red shoes?

OP posts:
TooTicky · 07/05/2008 18:29

Boco, does she get dizzy with the heat?

Boco · 07/05/2008 18:31

Oh they noticed the lump, they spoke to dp about it and asked him if she already had it when she arrived this morning because they'd spotted it but had no idea when or how it'd happened.

I wasn't thinking sinister, just confusing and perplexing. Why won't she say. As soon as I noticed she hid her head and said 'don't look don't look!' but that could be because she'd had people looking at it all day. It is one of those blue half an egg ones.

Not sure about the feeling silly, she showed dp the grazes from walking into the drainpipe and then falling over with great pride.

Am stumped.

Boco · 07/05/2008 18:32

She'd talk for a go on the shoes, she loves shoes.

No no dizziness that i've ever noticed.

FrannyandZooey · 07/05/2008 18:35

oh golly
when ds does things like this we usually get to hear about it later when he is having a last cuddle in bed or something
or sometimes the next day

ds gets hysterical when he hurts himself and won't show you or explain what happened for ages sometimes
or perhaps only about 10 minutes but it FEELS like ages when you are concerned interfering mummy

Oh! Sorry for the shouting

UnderRated · 07/05/2008 18:42

Zippi, sorry your appointment wasn't better this morning. She doesn't sound like she knows much about bipolar etc. Can you gp back and see someone else or ask for a referral? I know it can be hard to talk about stuff. I know I'm not a medical person but if you want to vent, you know where I am.

The shoes look comfy.

Hello everyone else and that head lumps go away soon.

I feel sick.

FrannyandZooey · 07/05/2008 19:22
