Watched Embarasing Bodies last night. Who has DANGLY FANJO LIPS?

After watching that I now think i have a wierd vulva.
The lady that had the extra skin on her inner lips. The doctor said that they were not normal. Not in so many words but she said that they could be treated by a cosmetic surgeon.
And when the lady stood up and you could see that they protruded down from her outer lips. The doctor said that you wouldn't be able to see them normally.
Well my innner lips come down lower than the outer ones. I'm sure some other peoples must do too.
I have always been slightly worried/embarrased by them but I read in a problem page once, years ago, that this is normal. Some inner lips show, or hang down(that sounds yuk, they're not by my knees) whatever, others dont.

So do your inner fanjo lips hand down??

I am completely baffled by the fact that those dangly bits are 'not normally seen' and 'require surgery'.

Really?? Those dangly bits did not look excessive to me. Mine are bigger!

expatinscotland · 30/04/2008 21:25

i had a shit hot senior consultant do my forceps delivery and sew up.

i sent her a letter of thanks afterwards!

hippipotami · 30/04/2008 21:25

Feck, forgot to namechange

NomDePlume · 30/04/2008 21:25

SHE IS FREAKING NORMAL

It pisses me off that the GP, Dr Pixie (FFS), tells her it is totally normal and in the next breath she is advising cosmetic surgery.

I am also GOBSMACKED that none of those idiots they asked from the blow up vagina crowd had no idea what a 'vulva' is and couldn't identify the hole they pee out of. Jeez

expatinscotland · 30/04/2008 21:26

i think the issue with the dangly flaps is that they really bothered the person on that show and were affecting her life and her sex life.

if she choses to have surgery to correct that more power to her.

WorriedAboutFanjo · 30/04/2008 21:26

Thank goodness I'm not alone.

How do we complain to Ch4? It made me cry yseterday when I saw that clip.

Male doctor. I should have asked for a woman. She would have understood. I'm just so .

expatinscotland · 30/04/2008 21:27

avenap, if it's still bothering you, you can request referral to a GYN and request a female doctor.

WorriedAboutFanjo · 30/04/2008 21:27

Thats true expat. But I dont think the gp made enough of the fact that's its not totally freaky for the veiwers.

zippitippitoes · 30/04/2008 21:28

well i think i would rather just be told i was normal like now i would rather think i was normal than a freak who needs surgery

that woman was worried she was newly single and a new partner would think she was odd

well i am there

so i know how she feels

avenanap · 30/04/2008 21:28

She'd say you've had a baby what do you expect? He's 9 now though.

expatinscotland · 30/04/2008 21:29

there, she's done.

i like this surgeon.

i'm keeping her in mind for when i win the Lotto .

not for dangly labia, but for some tightening up.

Beauregard · 30/04/2008 21:29

NomDePlume · 30/04/2008 21:29

expatinscotland · 30/04/2008 21:30

i'd put myself through it if i had dangly lips and they bothered me.

but i'd also have IPL on most of my body, a tit job, and a face lift.

NomDePlume · 30/04/2008 21:30

I farking hate pelvic floor exercises. They make me feel nauseous.

zippitippitoes · 30/04/2008 21:31
