Strange sickness bug?

Anyone had this strange sickness/ stomach bug?
started Saturday night really suddenly feeling sick after my dinner, went to bed and threw up throughout the night.
felt off it Sunday morning but perked up by teatime so thought it must have been something I ate.
felt a bit wishy washy and weak yesterday but loads better and managed to eat etc.
woken up in the night with awful cramps and nausea again last night and feeling really clammy. Why is it stopping and starting?! 😭

It could well be covid. There's always been GI symptoms, and they seem to be pretty common at the moment.

Take as much rest as you can!

I think I've got it. Also had covid 3 times and never had the gastro issues. I throw up so rarely it's unheard of so it's really shook me. Keeps coming and going, thought I was better but now I feel sick again.

@bestcatlife so strange isn’t it. Mine gets worse in the night and mid afternoon!

Have you considered taking a pregnancy test. I had evening sickness rather than morning sickness in pregnancy.
Otherwise it’s probably norovirus. That can take a while to clear and is flu like.

I've got norovirus at the moment, according to GP it's absolutely rife at the moment. The awful stomach cramps are a particularly delightful feature. Mine seemed to settle down yesterday lunchtime and I had a couple of bites of bread, but then I was sick again in the evening and more sporadically last night and today. I think maybe my system wasn't ready to handle anything, it's certainly been through a right pummelling.

Ugh I have this. Nauseous all evening, couldn't sleep then threw up in the night. Feel feverish on and off, have thrown up again several times today. Have nothing left 🙁 I hate being sick so much

I think I might have the same thing. Horrendous stomach cramps and cold sweats all day last Friday. Threw up twice in the evening.

Fine on Saturday/Sunday/Monday/Tuesday.

Horrendous cramps again all day Wednesday. Threw up three times in the evening. Cramps again today.

Horrendously tired throughout. Can't stay awake.

@Angrymum22 it did cross my mind at one point as my period is late, but that’s not majorly unusal for me. I also had a crazy amount of EWCM a couple days ago so think I ovulated late this time.
if it wasn’t for the horrendous gurgling and stabbing stomach cramps and 💩I probably would have been worried I was pregnant!
if it continues for another few days I will definitely take one though!
but yeah it came on sooo suddenly on Saturday after my dinner, I was absolutely fine all day and then after that it all went downhill! I keep having moments of where I think I’m getting better then I feel nauseous again!

@Writerscompanion as bad as this sounds I’m reassured yours is also sporadic!! Whenever I’ve had norovirus before / sickness bugs it’s been 48 hrs of hell then after that I’m fine and continue as normal! But this stopping and starting thing is all new to me!! Also I’ve never gone so long without hardly eating anything! I’ve tried but only because I’ve forced myself. Lucozade has been my best friend

I had something like that years ago was only bad cramps/pain in the middle of the night it got so bad I had to ring a ambulance and I spent 2 nights in hospital never got to the bottom off it.

I've had something like this over the last 2 days - no vomiting thank god but the other stuff, especially the strong stomach cramps.

It's extraordinarily unusual for me to get any sort of gastro thing - I think I had something similar around 6 years ago & before that it must be decades - so this must be particularly virulent.

I’ve felt really nauseous and exhausted for a week with stomach cramps, sharp head pains now and then and a bit of dizziness.

I’ve been in bed by 8pm which is a feat as I don’t get home from work until 6:30.

I’ve got a Covid test, I’ll use it when I go upstairs - grim.

My daughter has had random sickness and excruciating stomach pains on and off for 5 days now. She keeps thinking she’s better then It comes back?’!

This is my second week of misery. Had a fever and aches last week and now nausea and grippy stomach. Nausea always worse evening times

Well after managing to nibble something again this afternoon, mine has come back again this evening. It really won't let go! I've also not kept anything down since Monday, and yes thank goodness for lucozade. Hope everyone else suffering feels better soon.

currently laid awake with awful gripe pains and lingering nausea. I’ve forgotten what it feels like to be hungry will be a week tomorrow since this all started

Felt a bit off colour all week, sick now, sitting here with the lucozade I can't imagine eating anything again

Woken up without the cramping feeling so praying today is the day it settles down! I think I need to reintroduce food really gradually so as not to set it off again.

I'm reading this hoping this is not what I have got. Currently lying in bed with gripping pain.

I’m in bed today which is unheard of. Kept rushing to the loo last night. Lower abdomen pain and the shivers. Feel awful. Very weak and tired. We have a house full tomorrow and if I’m not feeling better first thing tomorrow I’m calling it off. Don’t want anyone getting what I’ve got atm.

I'm feeling better. Mine lasted about 3 days in total. (The worst of it anyway, not sure if it's completely gone but I feel much better). Hope everyone improves soon
