Debbie the Mac nurse just rang me to say that she has spoken to the social worker who says if need be then we could get an injunction out, i really really don't want to do that for steves sake but equally i shouldn't have to put up with the crap they are giving me either.
when Debbie comes tomorrow i will ask her to speak to steve to check how he feels about being home and stuff. i am sure that he will say he is happy here but i do have to give him the opportunity to be honest to someone else IYKWIM

OJ, glad you have had no unwelcome visitors. I am sure Steve is delighted to be home. It is the best place for him, to be home surrounded by people whom he loves and who love him. You are a star, as always. Take care.

kay1981 · 14/04/2008 16:44

hi, ive never posted on your thread, but have followed it from the beginning.

No-one should be treated the way you have been treated, its so unfair and to be told "we know why you were given away by your family" is the most horrendous thing anyone could say, that is truely horrible.

You are loved by your three fantastic kids and your amazing husband and all your friends in rl and on here, and dont ever forget that!

Do what you need to do to make a safe enviroment for you and your family at home

xx

TimeForMe · 14/04/2008 17:18

What a lovely woman you are. Steve's family ought to be very grateful and very happy that he is loved so much and being taken such good care of by you.

I don't know how you remain so calm and still able to think of them. You are amazing! xxx

lucyellensmum · 14/04/2008 17:44

OJ you are the most self LESS woman i have ever "met", of course he wants to be home with you - what is happening to you both is a terrible tragidy, but you are so lucky to have each other. Easy for his family to twat about saying they could do things better....they have to live with their consciences (sp) in the long run and i can promise you they are going to regret this profoundly.

ShinyPinkShoes · 14/04/2008 19:01

Hi no that's not me- I was originally NurseyJo many moons ago, then ShinyDysonHereICome but this is now my permanent name as am bored of changing

After suffering from headaches and loss of memory my wonderful Dad was diagnosed as having 2 very embedded tumours on his brain. He was at that point given 3 weeks to live but lovely (stubborn) bugger that he was he stayed with us for 13 weeks, all of which I nursed him through.

So I can honestly say I know what you're going through, although I didn't have the venomous in laws to deal with. x

Wisteria · 14/04/2008 19:12

Hi OJ - just read the thread.

Am over the moon that Steve is home and furiously angry that your precious time is being spent by tolerating this fuckwittery of the highest order.

I just wanted to say that I don't think I live a million miles away from you and I know you don't know me from Adam (and you probably have oodles of help) but if there is anything that you feel I could ever do to help you out in any way then just to call on me wisteriamn at googlemail dot com

x

NotABanana · 14/04/2008 19:19

OJ

You are really such a thoughtful lady and it is about time Steve's family realised how lucky they are to have you in their family and looking after Steve, He certainly knows he is lucky.

I hope you alll have a good nights sleep tonight.

TiggerTonkerTruck · 14/04/2008 20:52

Oj, as always you are an inspiration. Please enjoy your time with Steve and do whatever necessary to make that easier for yourself, Steve and the children. x

onlyjoking9329 · 14/04/2008 22:21

we have had a really lovely evening
we had a chinese take away and some wine. Steve ate loads and still manage a trifle!
u made 3 chocolate orange cakes yesterday and there is only half of one left
tomorrow will be busy i have the kids soxial worker coming in the morning and the very lovely Mac nurse in the afternoon, the girls are very excited cos they are going to see high school musical tomorrow night with their SN youth club.
with regards to steves rellies as long as they are civil then i can cope with them visting, but civil seems to hard for them.

moodlumthehoodlum · 14/04/2008 22:22

Oh OJ that's GREAT to hear. Trifle and a chinese. Yum. So pleased you are having some happy time together

triplets · 14/04/2008 22:34

Ho Oj and Steve,
feels so good to know that you are back together and seem so happy, every moment counts, love to you both xxx

NorthernLurker · 14/04/2008 22:37

Great to hear you've had a good evening

Izabella · 14/04/2008 22:44

OJ, so pleased to that today has been a good one. I really hope that you are able to put something in place to prevent Steve's relatives from being so abusive to you & his carers.

Good to hear Steve is eating well. Mark always liked trifle too even when he struggled to eat anything else . Hope the girls enjoyed High School musical. I'm sure you'll be hearing all about it.

Hope all goes well with the Mac nurse and social worker tomorrow. Is it the chocolate orange sharing carer who will be with you tonight? She sounds fab. Love to you, Steve & the kids. xxx

onlyjoking9329 · 14/04/2008 22:56

He is really funny with the trifles cos he has at least 4 a day but each time he has one he thinks it is the first one of the day
tomorrow night is HSM i am sure i will hear about it a lot!
the terrys choc orange carer will be here at the weekend.
it still feels strange having carers here all the time, i can't relax in the bath or sleep very well.

OP posts:
pindy · 14/04/2008 22:58

At least you get a bath

Keep your chin up OJ, you are fab!

onlyjoking9329 · 14/04/2008 23:02
