For anyone who wants a boost to their general health. The suggested goals are:

EAT 10 PORTIONS OF FRUIT AND VEGETABLES EVERY DAY - if you don't usually eat much fruit and veg I would build up gradually or you could upset your digestion.

DO (AT LEAST) 10 MINUTES OF EXERCISE EVERY DAY - can be yoga, stretching or something more energetic. The plan is that the idea of doing 10 minutes is not too daunting, and having started you may well find you want to do more.

There are no restrictions on what you eat so long as you get your 10 fruit and veg as well. The focus is not on weight loss but on improving our energy levels and hopefully our general mood and well-being. Sign up below and post here to tell us how you're getting on and how you are feeling.

Basic guidance on what constitutes a portion of fruit and veg here and you can download more detailed information by following the link at the very bottom of the page

Oh TooT thank god
I hate those sort of situations where you can't phone them and you could do this but then they might have gone somewhere else and you have a great idea but you can't contact them to tell them

I had strawberries, raspberries, black grapes, raisins

it is snowing so much we are not sure if dp will be able to go and collect our friends for the party

TooT what a stressful morning! Hope everything gets sorted

It did feel Christmassy here too when we woke up. Ds has no expectations of Easter yet but I did get him a lovely book about bunnies. Which we are about to read for the fifth time since 7am

lullabyloo · 23/03/2008 10:19

Boco · 23/03/2008 11:05

We're going off in the car now, and dp says it's not icy, just slushy so driving will be fine.

FrannyandZooey · 23/03/2008 11:08

oh good Boco will your dp tell my dp and also tell him he DOES have time to do the hoovering

OP posts:
lullabyloo · 23/03/2008 11:09

what's he up too franny?

dh bought ds a huge chocolate tractor & a large fuffy bunny & bag of easter hunt stuff ....harrrrumph...far too much stuff now..it's ridiculous.
I however got a voucher as chocolate is not good formy waistline

TooTicky · 23/03/2008 11:10

They got back at twenty to eleven. Have found eggsd, thank goodness clues didn't turn to mush (had v. heavy rain after the snow)

Franny, hope weather clears up for you and that dp de-arses.

Happy Easter to Tatties and Lully and everybody

lullabyloo · 23/03/2008 11:10

well dh is STILL in bed watching dvds

lullabyloo · 23/03/2008 11:11

happy easter Toot
thank goodness they are ok

lullabyloo · 23/03/2008 11:12

I have just told dh that your dp does hoovering
I got a look

TooTicky · 23/03/2008 11:16

Oh sorry Lully, I didn't see your posts properly - ds2 has been playing a strange dinosaur game and now the formatting is all odd.
on your behalf - I'm sure your waistline is delightful.

Boco · 23/03/2008 11:17

My dp hoovers. And cooks and washes up. Usually slightly pointedly.

TigerFeet · 23/03/2008 11:19

snow now turning to slush

but we got out and made a snowman and had a snowball fight

all the local children were out in the street - they were very careful of dd (she is much younger and wears glasses) but merciless with me - I was the only grown up out there so a natural target . I looked like I wet myself, they found it incredibly funny to aim snowballs at my general fanjo area as my jeans showed up the wet marks . They then argued about who was going to pull dd in the sleigh. Marvellous . I stood and watched and aimed .

I have therefore managed my exercise today

TooTicky · 23/03/2008 11:19

Hello Boco

My dp only washes up badly - I'm sure it's deliberate.

He does do the hoovering though (although not voluntarily) because I am not good with dust.

lullabyloo · 23/03/2008 11:21

i dont think dh even knows where the sink is

Boco · 23/03/2008 11:23

We need to all club together and send MrLully to vigorous retraining camp don't we. Send a van round in the middle of the night, it'll be like clockwork orange with the eyes bit, but flashing images of housework being performed willingly and with no griping.

TigerFeet · 23/03/2008 11:23

dh is incredibly domesticated other than clothes washing/ironing. He cooks, cleans, hoovers and washes up like a good 'un. He will however put a load of washing in the machine and leave it there for me to find two days later when it has started to smell . We have reached an impasse on the ironing. We both hate it.

TooTicky · 23/03/2008 11:23

Tigerfeet, that sounds like fun

lullabyloo · 23/03/2008 11:26

lolololol Boco sounds like a fabulous idea
He has just shouted for tea

lullabyloo · 23/03/2008 11:27

Bah....it's raining now

FrannyandZooey · 23/03/2008 12:47

Dp does indeed hoover in fact I don't even know how to turn the hoover on [faux blush as actually don't care]
he has hoovered
and showered
and slightly de-arsed
and will NOT be grumpy when friends are here, will be charming, so that if I ever tell anyone 'dp was a grumpy arse yesterday' they don't believe me

snow is slushing

do you think I had better do the hunt indoors? wet eggs not v good I don't think

OP posts:
lullabyloo · 23/03/2008 17:31

I dropped a full glass bottle of good oil on my little toe on my bad leg earlier.
It is now black & I cannot put my foot flat on the floor

have been stuck in all day & am going slightly stir crazy

FrayedKnot · 23/03/2008 17:40

Hi everyone

I am not sure if everyone is having a good day or not bu I hope it's brightening up for those who were down earlier.

I have jsut collapsed in aheap as I cooked lunch for 11 today - roast with 4 different veg, followed by raspberry & strwaberry pavlova and lemon and marscapone roulade.

My stomach looks like I am 6 months pregnant.
