For anyone who wants a boost to their general health. The suggested goals are:

EAT 10 PORTIONS OF FRUIT AND VEGETABLES EVERY DAY - if you don't usually eat much fruit and veg I would build up gradually or you could upset your digestion.

DO (AT LEAST) 10 MINUTES OF EXERCISE EVERY DAY - can be yoga, stretching or something more energetic. The plan is that the idea of doing 10 minutes is not too daunting, and having started you may well find you want to do more.

There are no restrictions on what you eat so long as you get your 10 fruit and veg as well. The focus is not on weight loss but on improving our energy levels and hopefully our general mood and well-being. Sign up below and post here to tell us how you're getting on and how you are feeling.

Basic guidance on what constitutes a portion of fruit and veg here and you can download more detailed information by following the link at the very bottom of the page

Yay! I'm in! Just looked up from the text box and the first thing I saw was.....

'The more you look at the word bugger, the odder it looks'

Wise words.

Cod spoke to me a few weeks ago, I know see it as a weekly challenge. I have failed thus far. Tsk.

Ah well, I shall console myself with a slowly rotting bowl of raspberries and dekink the halo.

I dug in the allotment today too, is that double points for wholesomeness?

Boco · 15/03/2008 21:41

Hello veg chatters

Franny I'm sorry, i've been planning to watch it for ages - I will watch it on Monday as have lots of drawing to do and like drawing and watching a film. Am looking forward to it.

ahundredtimes · 15/03/2008 21:48

I don't think you get points for digging, but am not 100% on this.

Where has MrsC gone?

IdrisTheDragon · 15/03/2008 21:49

Hello .

DH and I went out for dinner. His brother babysat, in preparation for becoming a father in June .

He got both DS and DD to go to sleep, so I think all will go well in June.

FrannyandZooey · 15/03/2008 21:57

MrsC has been in Edinburgh
when is she back?

Hello Idris!

do you not think we should have points for digging? It is so vegetable related, it probably scores double

FrannyandZooey · 15/03/2008 21:57

don't worry Boco, I just wondered
keep it as long as you like

Boco · 15/03/2008 21:59

MrsC went to Edinburgh but not sure how long for.

Maybe digging counts as exercise.

Good for dbil Idris, use him a lot between now and June!

I went trying on dresses today for the event but none from the dress thread were actually present in real life shops. And I didn't find anything. But had a whole afternoon to myself and it was lovely and I looked at pretty things and walked around looking at all the cars and big buildings and people like the dazed bumpkin I've become.

BBBee · 15/03/2008 22:00

boco - i love that you draw whilst watching films - but you can;t do it if the film has subtitles can you? Maybe you can, maybe you draw without looking at the page - oh that would be so good if you did that.

Does it change how you draw? The film I mean - like if you are watching the wizard of oz and it is the scary flying monkeys bit does the drawing go all dark?

I wish I had a film to send you now. I will try and acquire one that makes me seem all interesting and deep- or can send you wizard of oz?!?

BBBee · 15/03/2008 22:02

I have a green dress and a red silky dress but you lack my hugeness arseness so probably won;t work but am jumping up and down running through my wardrode in my mind in a supportive manner.

It's funny Bee, but sometimes I can look at a particular bit of a painting and recall a scene (sound obv, not picture) in exact detail. So, look at the trees in the back ground of a picture and remember the dialogue of a the bit of the film that I was watching at that time.

Can't do subtitles. Friend gave me a film called bon bon for xmas and can't watch it due to subtitles as it's hard not to watch a film and draw at the same time.

I'm liking Westerns atm, never have done before.

Boco · 15/03/2008 22:06

Oh thank you Bee, about the dresses! Your arse isn't huge, it's small. Not that I stared at your arse very much.

ahundredtimes · 15/03/2008 22:07

You were too busy looking at her chin.

I haven't anything I am too short and fat curvy for you I think.

Why couldn't you find anything?

BBBee · 15/03/2008 22:08

oh bonbon is a very good film - the dog one yes? I cried and it has a lovely man in it and a sweet love story.

I like the bit about the sound of the film and the drawing - that is very nice, very very nice.

No dress progress though. Black dress, flesh fishnets and blue shoes?

FrannyandZooey · 15/03/2008 22:08

but but but Boco
your favourite film which you sent me is Swedish and has subtitles

[bewildered]

BBBee · 15/03/2008 22:10

have grown fond of my reupholstered behind in lots of ways.

I am trying to watch elizabeth on film four but am in an oh ffs mood. I should give up shouldn't I.

Yes - where is carrot?

Boco · 15/03/2008 22:12

Yes, it is, it's just I've got work I should be doing now, so if i'm going to sit and watch something, i need to do something at the same time. I love that film but watch it with full attention only.

I don't know why no dress progress, went to principals where those two top dresses were, but they didn't have either of them - went to Debenhams and the actual shop. Tried all the usual places, just nothing that was nice and also affordable. Time yet though, it was just nice to look really. If i don't find anything I'll just have to wear something I already have, or borrow from friend Emma who i'll be staying with - she has millions.

ahundredtimes · 15/03/2008 22:13

She is in Edinburgh apparently. I don't know what she's thinking of.

Franny, for her favourite perhaps she doesn't draw to that one? Perhaps it gets undivided attention.

I don't understand why everyone loved that Edith Piaf film so much - did anyone see it?

ahundredtimes · 15/03/2008 22:14

oh yes, borrow from Emma.

ladywombling · 15/03/2008 22:14

Hello all,

Thanks for being so kind, but I am decidedly lumpy at the moment.

Idris, hello, glad to hear you've made some decisions about work/childcare, hope you are well.

Zippi, you are so not frumpy! Boco, it is lovely having some time on your own, I took one of my friends wedding dress shopping today and DH had the DC's all day, it was lovely, complete with wine sozzled lunch. I wish I could do it again tomorrow.

Boco · 15/03/2008 22:14

Why are there so many elizabeth films?

It's true Bee has a nice chin. Do I sound like a chin fetishist - I wonder if that means something dark or freaky.

ahundredtimes · 15/03/2008 22:15

Everyone went mad for them didn't they?

You like the chin of the lady at the ball, you fell in love with her. I think chins are acceptable. Franny has rather a good chin if I remember rightly.

ahundredtimes · 15/03/2008 22:16

I have recorded Man Men, I might go and watch that. And Damages, but god it's going on a bit.

Dh has gone to bed, he went at about 7.30. He said his arms ached
