Smelly face on a windy day!

Has anyone experienced this? When most people come in from being out in the wind, their faces have a distinct 'windy smell'. It's not a pleasant smell. Please tell me I'm not the only one that's noticed it?! What is this smell and is there a way to combat it?!

I love that cold fresh outdoors smell on line-dried clothes, and on people when they have been outside. I also like coriander. Have we worked out if there is a correlation yet?

I love coriander but the metallic cold smell on laundry makes me retch.

I love the smell of fresh air. When my cats come in from outside I love nothing more than a good snort of their fur

Yy, I used to do the same with late Ddog's fur after he'd been outside.

I looked into this and apparently there is a gene that makes coriander taste like soap to some people so maybe fresh air is also unpalatable to coriander haters!
