wow what a lot of messages to come home to.thankyou all for your kind thoughts and good wishes
Steve, was quite sick on the way to the hospice and once we got there he was sick a few more times i am sure they will sort him out best they can, saw a couple of doctors and a couple of nurses who were all lovely, steve has his own room with two spare beds in it. i left him with a note so he knows who is visting and when tomorrow.
it was hard to leave him there but the best place for him as he is.

OJ, I have only posted to you once before but I saw this and felt that I had to add to everyone's best wishes. I am thinking of you and your family at what must be a horrendously difficult time. I hope you and your children have a peaceful night tonight.

I must also add how much I admire your strength and courage. You even manage to maintain your sense of humour through some of your MN threads. You are quite a lady!

NorthernLurker · 11/02/2008 18:35

OJ - good to hear you're home safe, hope you and the children have a good night together and that you find Steve more comfortable tomorrow

Really hope you get some rest, OJ, and I'm sure Steve will receive the most fantastic care, which will put your mind at rest.

Sending you and the kids lots and lots of love.

OJ, I haven't often posted on your threads, but felt compelled to today.

I nursed my Mum through cancer and she was determined to stay at home, but near the end she agreed to a night in the hospice for respite. Once there we were all so much happier, nobody more so than my Mum. They were brilliant and made the last three weeks of her life very special and pain free.

I am thinking of you, Steve and your children.

iamdingdong · 11/02/2008 19:25

OJ hope it gives you both some much needed rest xx

LilOrphanAnnie · 11/02/2008 19:27
