I'm glad that he is back in the hospice, and out of the hospital.

I think that, for all sorts of different but equally valid reasons, you made the right decision to ask for treatment for him.

Most of all I think that it was the right decision for your children. and hard as it it is, we sometimes have to put our needs on the back shelf for them. I realise that Steve 'decided' differently, but as we've discussed that wasn't steve, that was the cancer.

You 100% did the right thing.

Much love

TimeForMe · 23/02/2008 19:43

Triplets - for your friend, and for you too

triplets · 23/02/2008 22:19

Hi,
thank you everyone, like for you Oj, it truly helps when times are unbearable to know that people are thinking and caring about you, love and support is a wonderful thing.

onlyjoking9329 · 23/02/2008 22:21

triplets sorry to hear about your mate

Hi Oj............know one knows better than you how I feel, are you sleeping any better? When I think of all we have been through, the only time you can escape for a while is when you finally get to sleep. I never ever was a great sleeper, but since 1994 I have got so much worse, can never seem to shut my mind down and having tinnitus doesn`t help. How are the children Oj? Love to you all xxx

Psychomum5 · 23/02/2008 22:43

OJ....I have no words, or even wise thoughts to give to you. I can however offer you all my hopes, thoughts, prayers, and absolute 'want' that you and steve gain the physical support that you have so earned these past few weeks.

If cyber support could do all you need, going by all these posts, you would be flying!

mummylin2495 · 23/02/2008 22:58

i hope you didnt have to battle to get steve back in the hospice.I am sure at the moment it is for the best.In my thoughts x

onlyjoking9329 · 23/02/2008 23:01

i am struggling with sleeping at the moment.
steve is still not in a good place, the first thing he asked his nurse when he got to the hospice was, can i have a razor as i need a shave, he is only alloed plastic cutlery and is asking to come home

OP posts:
triplets · 23/02/2008 23:05

Well there is one thing Oj, in his way he is showing great strength and will, so very hard for you though xx

mummylin2495 · 23/02/2008 23:12

oh dear Oj ,how awful it must make you feel when he says things lke that ,but you know for now ,for steve and for you its the best place to be ,maybe not emotionally ,but medically.Try and get some rest whilst you can ,then you will be better prepared for when steve comes home again x

TotalChaos · 23/02/2008 23:15

I hope that the hospice can help him become calmer and more settled.
