I've come home loaded down with anti-emetics in case it makes me ill.

And have a nurse coming round on Monday to show me how to inject myself with stuff to make my blood count higher all next week.

I'm just sitting here waiting to feel sick

Oh arse I had forgotten about the sore mouth, I seem to remember eating a lot of prawn cocktails, I diced up the prawns and with a lot of Marie Rose it just slid down.

If I think of anything else, I will be back.

ROSEgarden · 03/02/2008 17:22

oh Anorak, your are so brave..you should be really roud of yourself the way you have fought/are fighting this!...your on an absolute pedestal, so soon after total upheavel of moving 1000's miles away and your daling with it head on and so well..xx

anorak · 04/02/2008 18:54

Well what else can I do Rose? I'd have said 'no thanks' to breast cancer if I'd had the chance but hey ho - why not me?

Feeling virtually normal again now except I have an aversion to certain foods, but have energy again. Now I know the pattern I will be able to plan for the next three cycles before they change my drugs.

DH took me out for lunch yesterday, right couple of yahs we were, sitting on a sunlit terrace eating lobster thermidor, my life these days goes from the sublime to the ridiculous.

Then this morning the nurse came round to show me how to inject myself with blood boosting treatment, have to do that every day for a week now.

Life is proving to be exactly like a rollercoaster at the moment, but it's never boring, that's for sure!

When are you due your next lot of Chemo ?

hellobellosback · 04/02/2008 19:01

There's a conference soon for young women with bc. I may see if I can go. It may be interesting.

Keep going anorak. You sound great!

anorak · 04/02/2008 19:35

Next chemo a week tomorrow. It'll be every other Tues for 3 more cycles, then they change me to different drugs.

Yes cod it's lovely today around 70 I reckon. I put out some washing and when I took another load out about 2 hours later the first lot was dry already. Lunch yesterday was at the Margarita Inn you might know it, opposite the entrance to Horseshoe Bay beach.

How are you getting on hellobello?

Hello, only me. Glad to hear that you are feeling a bit better. Has the Tit Lady been yet?

NewYearNewStart · 04/02/2008 20:11

Hi Anorak, I logged on to see how you were doing. I'm really pleased that you are feeling a lot better. I know it must be horrid being away from your friends & other family whilst your going this but it sounds a fantastic place to be!

anorak · 04/02/2008 20:55
