For anyone who wants a boost to their general health. The suggested goals are:

EAT 10 PORTIONS OF FRUIT AND VEGETABLES EVERY DAY - if you don't usually eat much fruit and veg I would build up gradually or you could upset your digestion.

DO (AT LEAST) 10 MINUTES OF EXERCISE EVERY DAY - can be yoga, stretching or something more energetic. The plan is that the idea of doing 10 minutes is not too daunting, and having started you may well find you want to do more.

There are no restrictions on what you eat so long as you get your 10 fruit and veg as well. The focus is not on weight loss but on improving our energy levels and hopefully our general mood and well-being. Sign up below and post here to tell us how you're getting on and how you are feeling.

Basic guidance on what constitutes a portion of fruit and veg here and you can download more detailed information by following the link at the very bottom of the page

bet you wouldn't franny. Weird I can;t remember many films I saw there - concubine, rocky horro and secrets and lies, kids and that's all! I went virtually every week for two years!

MrsC - yes. Took DS to S.Spain whne we was 2. We could see morrocco from there. Was great.

FrannyandZooey · 20/01/2008 11:39

I only know Joe Orton in Morocco smoking kif and having sex with 14 year old boys

perhaps listen to someone who has more relevant cultural references

(Boc - did tax return - took 6 minutes)

FrannyandZooey · 20/01/2008 11:40

I might Bee. I only go to the cinema about twice a year and I would be so pissed off if someone was being noisy

I feel the urge to go somewhere warm and bustley and I've always wanted to go there and DH hates beach holidays, but, I would be worried about him getting ill. I know loads of people who do it but I am a bit of a coward when it comes to ill babies in another country.

But he probably wouldn't get ill, would he, and we could spend the next 5 years in England just in case.

FrannyandZooey · 20/01/2008 11:41

6 minutes! Dp did mine (sorry for crapness but he was financial advisor so I feel there must be perks) and it took him DAYS, all huffing and puffing

MrsCarrot · 20/01/2008 11:41

Avi have you been with ds?

FrannyandZooey · 20/01/2008 11:41

he might not be ill as you bf him?

MrsCarrot · 20/01/2008 11:42

FrannyandZooey · 20/01/2008 11:42

this is nice isn't it, I can't remember the last time so many of us were here all at once

why are we all here? dp has taken ds to buy a snorkel set and then to go swimming, so I am sitting around eating things in my pyjamas

mrsC - could you go to south spain? Cadiz? It is lovely and you can get a boat over to morroco for the day.

F&Z - I don't have anything I claim tax back on, all invoices are in a file and I have not reached limit where I have to pay tax for the last three yeaqrs.

FrannyandZooey · 20/01/2008 11:48

LOL oh god I have never paid tax in my LIFE

how organised you are, though, mine is all on a spreadsheet but it seems very fiddly and I MUST sort my receipts drawer as it is taking on sentience I fear

I think perhaps it was more complicated as I have several different jobs and I think he had to do different things for each one

or perhaps he was "Doing The Tax Return" while browsing on ebay or something, ah well, I am grateful I didn't have to do it

Thanks Avi, that would be good. No rush though.

Could go to Spain, not as warm in easter holidays?

He hasn't had his jabs either. Maybe I should forget warm while he's still small.

BBBee · 20/01/2008 11:50

southern spain is wonderful temp. we went in sept and swam in sea.

MrsCarrot · 20/01/2008 12:00

sept is quite different to March though isn't it, the easter holidays fall early this year. I think its around 11- 15 then

MrsCarrot · 20/01/2008 12:17

I have just been reminded that we have to do an income/outgoing thiing tomorrow for the tax credit overpayment and here I am talking about holidays. I feel desperate to get away and stick my head in the sand - excuse the pun.

I feel sad about F being one tomorrow. Silly isn't it. I know he's my last and it feels weird that he's one.

FrannyandZooey · 20/01/2008 12:22

sorry to hear about both things MrsC and I do understand about the oneness

there are websites to help with the outgoings form thing if you get stuck

OP posts:
Boco · 20/01/2008 12:28

A holiday sounds just the ticket MrsC. HOpe you get the tax thing sorted (i've sat down to do my tax return and got distracted by mn so easily) I'm sure it's like my tax return, probably fairly easy when you get into it, it's the ignoring it that takes all the mental energy.

Cinema City is lovely MrsC - its good to be able to take wine in with you - the bar and restaurant looked really nice, and they sold green and blacks instead of mingy hotdogs [ponce] Was fairly titchy inside. Maybe we could take the children to one of the kids screenings and activity things one day?

My dad is taking the girls to see Little Red Riding Hood at the puppet theatre next month - hadn't heard it was closing, that's really sad.

We slept in until half ten today! Wooohooo - dds not been brought back yet.

MrsCarrot · 20/01/2008 12:34

sorry - don't mean to moan. I'm sure it will be fine and we'll hopefully pay back at a reasonable rate.

We are having a little tea tomorrow so I should get on and make a cake really, buns maybe, some thing savoury.

That would be nice, Boco, I keep meanng to do something with dd by herself so that would be ideal. We should do somethinig on our own one time too though thats always harder to arrange.

MrsCarrot · 20/01/2008 12:34

I am making tarragon, potato and chickpea miso soup. DD calls it seaweed soup.

Boco · 20/01/2008 12:39

Oh moan away MrsC please, you must, it's shitty and moaning is essential.

Yes, please, lets do food and wine soon.

I bought a soup book yesterday as it was £5 instead of £15 from smiths, and it's actually brilliant and am planning on doing lots of soup.
