what a weekend.
Steves been in bed since saturday feeling sick but not been sick, he is struggling to balance and has been in a lot of pain.
Steve ended up with the doctor out again last night and was given morphine. he slept much better last night
it's so hard to be optimistic about scan results when he is feeling so crap.
on the one hand we want the scan results out of the way, but on the other hand we don't want to know, just in case it isn't the best news. the timing is crap and we just can't get into the christmas spirit.
the kids have several things on at school the next two weeks and don't know if we will be able to go.
sorry if it sounds like i am always moaning but mumsnet is my sounding board.

thankyou for all your kind words and wishes and sorry if i seemed a bit grumpy & ungratful earlier we were still trying to get our heads round it all and we are now in a better place
well we have kind of got over the inital disappointment of not having any shrinkage & we are moving on to being thankful that it hasn't grown.
shinkage would have brought more time, but if steve hadn't had the chemo & radio then it would have grown so we have had extra time just not as much as we hoped for, but it is still way better than it could of been and thats what we will focus on.

You're amazing, OJ. You are so positive it's a lesson to us all. I've learned how much I have to be grateful for by accompanying you on your journey, so I want to thank you for that - but wish things could be different for you.

I really hope, hope, hope that the time you have left together is good quality and that Steve manages to regain some quality of life so that you can enjoy each other for as long as possible.

Oh oh, I am sad it hasn't shrunk, glad it has not grown, and in total awe of you and Steve.

I hope the 6 months of chemo brings some positive changes, and who knows, they may come up with another treatment option after that.

i have phoned up and they are ready so i will be comencing the 20 mile trip to go get them soon but roads are a nightmare as accident on M1

well he should have started treatment yesterday daily until saturday, now it will start today until sunday

Was it the hospital pharmacy that messed up? or the normal one?

the hospital one, you can only get chemo drugs from there, which is why i have to fetch them they don't deliver, i hate parking at the hospital too

That is terrible O.J!!! Couldn't they have done something? I mean the drugs are dispensed in the hospital for in patients,the least they could of done was make a couple of phone calls for you.

no it is a special pharmacy that just does chemo stuff they have to wear protective gear and stuff
