what a weekend.
Steves been in bed since saturday feeling sick but not been sick, he is struggling to balance and has been in a lot of pain.
Steve ended up with the doctor out again last night and was given morphine. he slept much better last night
it's so hard to be optimistic about scan results when he is feeling so crap.
on the one hand we want the scan results out of the way, but on the other hand we don't want to know, just in case it isn't the best news. the timing is crap and we just can't get into the christmas spirit.
the kids have several things on at school the next two weeks and don't know if we will be able to go.
sorry if it sounds like i am always moaning but mumsnet is my sounding board.

OJ - I think you have more rights than most to moan (and I think you never seem to moan)...

Poor Steve - I'll keep everything crossed.

Hulababy · 10/12/2007 12:11

Hope Steve is feeling a bit less sick this morning.

Everything crossed for those results.

JingleBelgoHoHoHo · 10/12/2007 12:12

everything crossed for you and Steve

ChristmasShinySnowflakes · 10/12/2007 12:12

Everything well and truly crossed for you all OJ xxxxxxxxxxxxxx

ajandjjmum · 10/12/2007 12:13

Just thinking about you. Fingers crossed for tomorrow - and that Steve is feeling a little better today.

SquonkaClaus · 10/12/2007 12:13

everything crossed really hard for you and Steve, oj.

You never moan. Seriously, you have every right to moan, whinge, shout, yell and throw things about, but you never actually seem to do any of these things.

You just tell us what's going on.

ABudafulSightWereHappyTonight · 10/12/2007 12:14

Fingers and fanjo crossed here OJ.

And moan away my dear, moan away. That is what we are here for.

Sorry Steve didn't have a good weekend. Hope he feels better today.

(By the way - how does one cross one's fanjo? Not sure I've done it right and it feels a bit uncomfortable. )

Oh lovey not quite what you hoped for the weekend?
It's a double edged sword it really is i remember when the doctor did the wards at Christie even though we wanted to know what was going on we hoped he would walk past as we would rather not know if it was bad news.
You can only hope despite his health at the moment. It's such a terrible time of year to top it off!
Not even sure wishing you luck tomis the right thing to do but hoping you can all have a good xmas and my thoughts are with you all whatever happens tom.
As for moaning you have every right, your situation often puts things into perspective formewhen i forget how fortunate i am.

onlyjoking9329 · 10/12/2007 12:34

thanks for all your thoughts and kind words.
i am waiting for a mate to pop over so that i can go to the shops we have nothing in the cupboards and i don't like to leave steve like this he gets all ambitious and thinks he can walk to the loo he won't have one of those wee pots cos he is very sure he can walk to the loo

You're so very brave, OJ, and you never sound as though you're moaning to me - just sounding off with good reason from time to time.

You've had such a terrible time, but you somehow manage to keep smiling: I find you inspirational, tbh, and think about you such a lot even when I don't post.

Keep your chin up, mate, and keep posting - we're all here for you.

everything crossed here as well! really hope the results will give you some extra time!

janeite · 10/12/2007 19:50

All crossed here too. Do you think that fanjo crossing is good for the pelvic floor muscles? So we are getting a workout whilst mumsnetting and thinking of you and Steve. Wow - talk about multi-tasking!

No seriously, best of luck with the scan. xxx

YuleLoveHekateAtSolstice · 10/12/2007 19:51
