what a weekend.
Steves been in bed since saturday feeling sick but not been sick, he is struggling to balance and has been in a lot of pain.
Steve ended up with the doctor out again last night and was given morphine. he slept much better last night
it's so hard to be optimistic about scan results when he is feeling so crap.
on the one hand we want the scan results out of the way, but on the other hand we don't want to know, just in case it isn't the best news. the timing is crap and we just can't get into the christmas spirit.
the kids have several things on at school the next two weeks and don't know if we will be able to go.
sorry if it sounds like i am always moaning but mumsnet is my sounding board.

Awww OJ.......bet it did

QuintessentialShadowOfSnowball · 10/12/2007 22:51

OJ, everything is crossed, uncrossed and tripple crossed (except my norks - I type with them). You are such fab woman, so strong, you cope, and have a sense of humour. Thinking of you.

controlfreaky2 · 10/12/2007 22:53

thinking of you and steve oj.

Bauble99 · 10/12/2007 22:53

Hope it goes OK tomorrow, OJ.

I agree with the others. You are one of the least moany people here. Keep posting, we are here to listen. x

BTW. I probably could have a good go at crossing my norks. Gravity.

ShinyHappyStarOfBethlehem · 10/12/2007 22:56

Thinking of you, Steve and the results OJ. But I can't possibly cross my fanjo for you in any way shape or form as it is far too neat and shapely, depsite having shunted 3 huge babies down and out of it

[ahem]

all is crossed good luck

onlyjoking9329 · 10/12/2007 23:07

well i cam usually find something to laugh at thank goodness, we are hoping to see the nice doctor tomorrow, please don't let it be the thoughtless one who told steve that he had 3-6 months then went on to tell him that he needed to take the strong anti-bs cos of the risk of pneumonia, cos then he would be really poorly

stillaslowreader · 10/12/2007 23:07

All crossed here, too.
Will be thinking of you tomorrow.

stealthsquiggle · 10/12/2007 23:08

Crossing everything possible for you both, OJ. And never apologise for moaning - you don't, even though you have every right to.

merryCHRISTIEmas · 10/12/2007 23:14

Fingers crossed for you both.
Will be thinking of you.

i have logged in to see how you are OJ & Steve.
i try so hard to imagine how things are for you and how you must feel and how the hell you are managing.
you blow me away every time you leave me feeling very humble and in truth a bit helpless. how the hell do you manage to keep finding that sense of humour.
i don't really have the words to sum you up.
i will be thinking of you all tomorrow.
i am pleased to see that you have lots of support here on mumsnet and great to see that you have a friend who will go and see elliott at school.
best of luck for tomorrow (((OJ & Steve)))

Thinking of you both... I have crossed fingers, legs and fanjo and could probably tie my norks in a knot if you wanted me to!

PrisonerCellBlockAitch · 11/12/2007 00:49

g'luck, oj.

robinpud · 11/12/2007 06:14

OJ- just checked in this evening, my time because I know it is Tuesday am your time. Thinking of you and wishing that they can give you some good news; that you get empathetic staff and that Steve manages the journey there and back ok.
Tell Elliott that he will have the biggest virtual presence possible with him at his mince pie thing as lots of mumsnet will be there for him.

Take care of yourselves
x Robinpud

MrsJohnCuSackFullOfPresents · 11/12/2007 06:18
