So back story, stage 4 endometriosis
Fun. Def not pg.

Day 9 of incredibly heavy period.
Worse within last 48hrs
Incredible worse within last 18 hrs.

Blood pouring out, like a constant trickle but passing huge clots, some size of my palm with 'contractions'.

Totally saturated pad within 20mins.
Saturated pad plus through period pants in 1hr while asleep.

Obs 5.30am

2x Tranexamic acid
BP 98/77
Temp 35.4 / too low to read
Oxygen 96
HB1 110

Feeling a bit (very) shakey, dizzy, sick and a bit breathless.

On my own with my DS, 20 miles from hospital, no 111 service, have called On Call Doctor but no return call yet - 45mins

Im just scared that im going to pass out & DS will have to deal with it.

YABU - wait for call back / GP opening

YANBU - 999

Thanks

Call the ambulance. Is there a neighbour ds can run to?
Just to warn you I called an ambulance for my mum a few weeks ago and we waited 4 hours for it - I've heard this a lot recently.

NoOtherShadeOfBlue · 18/10/2021 06:05

Call them. There was a thread on here a couple of years ago about an identical situation and I don’t want to scare you but you absolutely must ring 999 now. Don’t wait.

PatchworkElmer · 18/10/2021 06:05

999!

HopingForOurRainbowBaby · 18/10/2021 06:08

They tell you to phone 999 if soaking through a maxi pad every hour when miscarrying, so I can't see how this would be any different. I'd call them

AwaAnBileYerHeid · 18/10/2021 06:14

I have endometriosis and this sounds like a normal period for me for 4-5 days. Is this majorly outweigh your normal? Keep us updated, I hope everything is going ok.

AwaAnBileYerHeid · 18/10/2021 06:15

*outwith your normal

TableDesk · 18/10/2021 06:15

DS is 12. Have called grandparents. On call doc has phoned back & said i urgently need to be seen but 2-3 hr wait on ambulance. He says not to leave it til my GP opens as... "well I don't want to scare you" Hmm

Thankyou for reassurance.

Have called grandparents back, they are bringing 2 cars, 1 for DS to get to achool etc and 1 to take me to a&e. Doc on call has reassured me that this is a genuine a&e and dont feel any guilt.

Will keep updated. Thanks again.

Ps periods / endo suck
