For anyone who wants a boost to their general health. The suggested goals are:

EAT 10 PORTIONS OF FRUIT AND VEGETABLES EVERY DAY - if you don't usually eat much fruit and veg I would build up gradually or you could upset your digestion.

DO (AT LEAST) 10 MINUTES OF EXERCISE EVERY DAY - can be yoga, stretching or something more energetic. The plan is that the idea of doing 10 minutes is not too daunting, and having started you may well find you want to do more.

There are no restrictions on what you eat so long as you get your 10 fruit and veg as well. The focus is not on weight loss but on improving our energy levels and hopefully our general mood and well-being. Sign up below and post here to tell us how you're getting on and how you are feeling.

Basic guidance on what constitutes a portion of fruit and veg here and you can download more detailed information by following the link at the very bottom of the page

Brilliant news Franny!!!

It is very emotional getting on that bed...you may only be lifting your top over your stomach but you feel so exposed, all of your hopes, fears and emotions laid bare.

I really am grinning here for you x

Sorry to hear you have a rotten cold MrsC hope you feel better soon.

Bocohohoho · 17/12/2007 11:00

Franny i think you should walk in with a balloon up your top and lower yourself agonisingly into a chair and they'll just get your drift.

Advent tea was lovely and festive and friend had done stockings full of german treats and decorations for the girls and we lit candles and ate huge amounts of cake.

My paint isn't drying so i'm stressing about these presents.

I like MrsCs mince pie title.

BBBee · 17/12/2007 11:11

tbh the mince pie one is better than the mange tout one

more details on the german thing boco - did you sing? did you ice biscuits?

dd is off school ill and I am sitting watching cartoons and not thinknig about the 8,000 words i need to produce and the chriswtmasn thing people keep mentioning that i am supposed to do something about.

Bocohohoho · 17/12/2007 11:15

No Bee, no singing or icing, just eating and chatting. And the dds leapt all over her dh. He is the one who is a falconer, i was very surprised he didnt' have a long beard or any robes or anything, looked very nice and normal.

Am feeling same as you Bee, trying to ignore all the work i HAVE to do this week.

BBBee · 17/12/2007 11:29

am liking the falconer. What were the bsicuits like? cinammon or pepper or nutmeg - hmm biscuits.

yes boco - we are collective procastinging uselessness. we need to kick each other or 100 needs to write us a list.

okay - what do you have to do that you have put off for ages?

mine:

empty kitchen caddy
fold clothes
tidy and hoover
make chrsitmas cake
sort car insurance docs

dd is watching and wants the faces. indulge us.

FrannyandZooey · 17/12/2007 11:32

LOL Bee

ds loves the faces too, he got v excited when the Christmas ones came

for MiniBee

OP posts:
Bocohohoho · 17/12/2007 11:37

I have to

  1. Draw and paint 5 pictures for end of the week.
  2. Print 14 lino cuts. The cutting is done, but the base colour won't dry.
  3. Frame them all.
  4. Send them.
  5. Christmas cards (so i might give up on those)
  6. Clean the house, hoover, tidy, sort.
  7. Do something with the huge pile of clean washing.
  8. Do something with the huge pile of dirty washing.
  9. Plan and buy for dd2s birthday party on Sunday. Actually get round to inviting some people to it.
10. Wrap her presents.
BBBee · 17/12/2007 11:46

oh boco your list is so much more exciting and glamouros than mine - at the lino cutting!

ok - let's both NOT do the washing as it is SO unfestive. You can organise the party with dd;s later today - that is more fun and they will like it - inface tell dd that you will be doing that when dd coems home from school adn they will make you do it.

wrap presents tonight infront of telly with wine.

the tidy hoover sort thing we both need to do should really be doen but is curently too vague. Okay will sort kitchen.

BBBee · 17/12/2007 11:47

put them in low oven to dry!

at own genius.

BBBee · 17/12/2007 11:49

away in a mangetout no crab apple for a bed

Bocohohoho · 17/12/2007 11:54

The heat makes them curl, but thanks for idea.

I'm going to drink tea and gather my thoughts.

BBBee · 17/12/2007 13:20

oh i thouhgt i was so clever

lunch was huge salad with tuna and kidney beans. am couting it as four as was huge. is nce being able to eat proper stuff - i have eaten a lot of ready made sandwiches over the past weeks.

dd seems better and house is slowly becoming deocrated. that is good.

BBBee · 17/12/2007 14:47

dd is ill and so I am checking this thread every few minutes like a bored woman possessed. Stop doing christmas stuff and talk to me.

Bocohohoho · 17/12/2007 15:07

Are you still there?
I cleaned the kitchen, including under and behind.

Only all the other things left to do now!

The paint isn't drying!!

FrannyandZooey · 17/12/2007 15:36

I posted parcels and put ds in the bath and then had a big sit

there is a parcel for dp and it says Sing With Me Barney on the box. I am fervently hoping this is an old box which has been reused
